Yes, but that is only going to be available in Expanded Edition.

I just started to look into getting this modification to work with the vBJournal. I hope I can figure it out, but is anyone else has figured it out could you give a shout on how you did it?

Figure if I can get it to work in one mod (like vBJournal) I can get it to work in other mods (like User Pages).

As the forum grows, people will miss the announcement. And not everyone reads the FAQ before they dive in and start using the feature. I have already let my mods know that they need to spend the next few weeks showing people how it works, but I think that a phrase that pops up on que will be more effective. If it can't be done then we will just go with announcements, an FAQ, and mentioning it several times until other users get the hang of it and begin mentoring the next generation of new users. Wishful thinking, is all. ;)

You are upgrading from an older version that had these functions in functions.php. Take them out of there.

i have not done the template edits or the xml upload because once i make the change to the functions_forumdisplay it wont show any page that uses forumdisplay.php. made all changes to the php fiels. the only one that isn't active is the functions_forumdisplay.php

i just uploaded the visionscripts folder to the includes folderso it would be /includes/visionscripts/

i had your older version installed and it worked just fine. i am on 3.5.4 now so i had to install the new version.

Yes, I'm gonna make a nice layout switcher in next release.
And it would be the same exact amount of changes if only reply is required. That is because all of those changes are to cover various parsing areas. The parses itself is just a plugin that is stored in one single location.

Well when thats true , the Hidden Hack makes nothing hidden. :) Because the most users have more than one Posting.

Both versions work equally correct. The only difference is that expanded version has hide-reply and hide-thanks. Perhaps you have not set permissions correctly?

Sorry, I cannot give solutions. The hack should use the standard data out of the variable already provided on the page, then there be no problems. Please ask the author of thread preview to use std. variables and not create new ones.

I did rebuild the bitfields and it persisted. Thats y i tried removing ur hack and i can now update the usergroups. Since I really like ur hack in tried to install it again and it works. But having issues whenever i change the usergroup. so the best solution is whenever u update usergroup settings, just uninstall the plugin. update usergroup, reinstall the plugin. It works flawlessly that way.

Mine is just help extended to fellow board owners who are not elite users like u and the others. My instruction was "clear" and he easily understood it. works for me in my board. test board both and i assume it will work for him as well.

I am having a problem, I have chosen to add this to my forum, all is fine until I go to add the hide tag into a thread and post it and then I get this error

"I get an error" is not specific enough. There are miriads of possible errors you may receive and they do not necessarily have to do with this hack. An example of such error would be "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be closed."...

Calm down. The only person who sees that is you and other administrators, but not your site visitors. The reason you see that is because, since you are an administrator, it automatically redirected you to visionscripts.com to download a key. Once you have the key, you'll never be asked to download it again. The upgrade is complete, you can now complete the installation (which is what you've apparently been doing).

Sorry for the inconvenience, but when we upgrade the board (which was the first time since visionscripts.com was up), we need to close the site until upgrade is done.

While we were doing an upgrade, we locked the site with private username and password so that noone could access it. Don't worry about it. Next time something like that happens, please contact me via pm so that I can give you the username and the password for the time being. Thanks.

ok, i've re-looked the complete installation about 4-5 times and still get this error

don't tell me it's incomplete because I'VE LOOKED IT OVER NUMEROUS TIMES! I had to uninstall because I messed somethin up in the templates to where you would click the hide button and a javascript box would pop up. So i goto re-install and there's that error again. When i first installed it, i couldn't do i (liek now) so my other administrator did it. Well he's taking to long and my board is offline until this is back up and has been for the last 2 days. Any help would be appriciated seeing how this lazy @$$ admin of mines isn't getting on it yet

I'm very new to this, but I think I've done everything I'm supposed to. I uploaded all the files in the upload file, did all the changes to all the files and templates that are listed, and then uploaded the xml file via the Program manager.

Now when we try to get onto some of our forums we're getting this message:

I went back into that file and checked the added code and it was all correct. I removed the code and now we can see the forums again.

Still no hide function visible anywhere though. What am I doing wrong?? I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question, but this is the first time I've set up a vBulletin website (or any sort of website for that matter!)

In that case, you've done something wrong. It could be as seemingly insignificant as inserting code "above" instead of "underneath", or vice versa.

Ok so I messed up the hide hack install, I imported the 'product-psionic_hide.xml' before editing the files, now I cant do a thing, is there a way to cancel the installation?

The reason I cant finish the hack is because I don't think I can make template changes without the admin cp, if so let me know how and I'll try finish the mod.
