Info:
Flexible PayPal Donate system with donator list and Subscriptions/Recurring Payments ability,...

Note: PayPal Subscriptions and Recurring Payments are only available for Business or Premier accounts.

Installation:
1. Import XML file (as product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

2. OPTIONAL (for some customized styles)
Open template "navbar" and add "$cyb_paypal_donate_link" after "vbphrase[user_cp]</a></td>"
3. OPTIONAL (for some customized styles)
Open template "navbar" and add "$cybpaypal_donlist_link" after "vbphrase[miscellaneous]</td></tr>"

To set options:
Go to your AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Cyb - PayPal Donate

- Added option to donate custom ammount (as 6th option - can be enabled/disabled in AdminCP)

This is a really handy & great hack. Well done.
What I personally would like to see is the ability to set the number of payment options in the AdminCP, 4 donation options is too limited.

The option for members to choose the amount they want to donate would be nice... if you put a 0 in, this will do it but on the cybpaypal display page it comes up as donate 0 USD, it would be nice to see this replaced with Donate "other" amount...

Other donate hacks save how much each member has donated and display it in their postbit and on a ranking page. Would this be possible with your hack? I also like the idea of letting the members enter their own amount. Nice work though. Keep it up! :)

I noticed a problem with this while using internet explorer. You can login and then takes you to page where you click on the pay button but then it somehow logs you out for some strange reason. This doesn't happen in Firefox but internet explorer only.

to fix the issue in internet explorer you have to go to:
1. internet options
2. Privacy
3. Advanced
4. put a checkmark in overide automatic cookie handling and click apply

but I can't tell all my donators to do that, that makes it difficult for people to donate, they might try but then get frustrated and not bother donating.

Please let me know if there is a fix for this to work properly in latest internet explorer.

Please replace CybPayPal.php on your server with attached one and let me know if it works now.

Nah, that didn't help any

If you have your settings for privacy in internet explorer set to default (medium) the it won't work.

You get to the pay screen and it refreshes and says you must be logged in. I double checked that it works in IE while not framed in my forum, I just payed him through paypal website and had no problems.

here is a pic of what happens at the pay page when it refreshes automatically

Suggestion: Perhaps it could be possible for users to enter in a custom amount of money they would like to donate in a text box and from there they would be moved to the appropiate PayPal page?

One question

How can I make the currency $AUS (Australian Dollers)

I tried inputting AUS into the admin window but then when trying to submit a donation I get a message that AUS is not supported by the seller (when it is )

Is there a small edit I can do in the xml to allow $AUS

Just managed but obviously the paypal content stays large. I'm guessing that has to do with them :tired:

You don't need to reinstall. Only the phrase has been changed.

im having a problem.
i put the .php in my forums dir
and uploaded the .xml
but i dont see the paypal donation thing any where? i see it in my admin toools and its enabled and stuff but where is it suppose 2 show, i opened the .php with notepad and looked for

Just a suggestion, But how about getting rid of the "drop down" links or arrow that is to the left of each amount?

Have it where when you click on an amount the paypal screen take up the entire area and you dont see the other amount selections.

Sound like a better setup to the rest of you guys?

i could not find ware to add this i searched the template in the admin control panel > Styles & Templates > edit template > cyppaypal

could not find ware to add the code? every thing else went fine just cant get it to display in the navbar menu!

Ok, I made it display custome amount only, and expanded by default easily enougth.

Now I have a much bigger problem.:(

Standard IE security settings wont work on this. You need to change your browsers settings.
To me this is a fatal flaw.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Love this, but in the future have you thought of intergrating other payment methods such as worldpay etc? Also what about sort of once someone donates you can set this hack or your promotions hack to auto move a member into a given group.....for example

Johnny is a registered member but donates to become a vip member at the minute it has to be done manually. Is there anyway Cyb - Advanced Permissions Based on User's Post Count & Cyb - PayPal Donate could work together. so if johnny makes his donation he is auto moved???

Only gripe I have is the bunch of bars down the page with expand/contract buttons next to each.

How do we get rid of the expand/contract alltogeather and also get rid of all except custom donation amount?

No they are quite different.
Mine was inspired by this one (and Cloudrunners) but neither did what I wanted so I wrote my own.

Grab both, instal each and see which one better fits your requirements is what I would do

Is there a way that you can put a multi line text box instead of a single line one? The message I want to have on there is a couple lines long but the text takes a long time to wrap. You know what I mean? I've added a sample screen shot below.
If you are talking about "webmaster note" than just put <br /> where you wish to break row.

For example, this:
Hi chkdgate<br />how are you
will be shown as:
Hi chkdgate
how are you

Great hack used it for awhile along side VB subscription, but i was wondering would it be possible in any future updates to include more payment currancy option like the most popular thats in VB Subscriptions? Other than that great work

Cybernetec, I updated and removed CybPayPal.php from my server like you mentioned but I'm now getting this error. Everything is set up properly. Any suggestions?

At first I didn't opt for the optional mod:
OPTIONAL (for some customized styles)

but then I went ahead and performed this edit and still nothing.

Be sure you have allowed overwriting when importing new version.

Go to your Admin CP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager
In drop-down menu choose "Edit Templates".
Now find templates you need to edit (one by one), make required changes, save.

Be noted that template edits in this product are optional, if you are using custom styles...
If you are using default vB style then you don't need to edit any template for this hack to work.

Cybernetec, I updated and removed CybPayPal.php from my server like you mentioned but I'm now getting this error. Everything is set up properly. Any suggestions?

Yes I have this error as well.

It seems all this hack changed was adding this error. I see no other changes.

Does anyone know if there is a way to set a minimum donation amount while still allowing "custom" donations with this mod?

I just installed this hack, and my first donation was for $.01, which of course went straight to PayPal. I know this won't be typical, however is there anyway for us to set a minimum donation.

Appreciate the hack. It's pretty. It only appears for Members only. How do I get guests and visitors to donate using hack? At least I like them to see the icon in the cp heading also?

I've just checked some 3.5.x files and it seems vBulletin team have not implemented this way of constructing drop-down menus in 3.5.x (yet). I'll update product to fix this.

Some user has reported that this works on 3.5.x and I have not double checked... sorry.

To move Donate link:
1. Disable "Automatically add link to Donate page to NavBar" in hack options
2. Add "$cyb_paypal_donate_link" between desired table cells

To change text color:
-In Phrase Manager find this phrase: "cybpaypal_donate"
-Remove FONT tags to use default color, or change "color" parameter value to desired one
