Already tried the fix by adding the 'width:20px' to the template. I think this error is something a bit different.

Hope you can help

Try placing it at the bottom of the template before

nope still didn't work, as a workaround I added a preregister line to the plugin for the navbar template and got it to work until the mod itself has all the kinks worked out

Did you add "navbar" in the box for "THIS_SCRIPT" in Admincp > Settings > VSa Chatbox > Display Options

I've the follows troubles:

- character size bar is smallest than the select menu (see attached pic)
- username and messages aren't always alligned, expecialy if there are smiles

In Safari the Chatbox looks very strange. And also above Footer doesn't work.

why don't you add an option to put the chat button in the main link bar?

There are some small bugs, but omg, finally a nice chatbox for vBulletin 4. Great work, Valter.

I've got it working by tweaking it so its ok for now. I'm sure Valter will be updating it when he gets a chance since there seems to be alot of formatting issues to address. So it works enough for me now that I can wait.

Yes it is. No post can be promoted to article. You also cannot create and article. Even after uninstall. I HIGHLY rcommend that nobody with CMS installs this until it is fixed!

Got it installed on my forum www.digitalsportscene.com and is working fine.

Trying to manually place it under the ESPN Bottom Line widget I have installed on forumhome template instead of on top of it but can't seem to get it to work.

Anyone have any success with this?

If I want to completely remove the option to use colors, does this work any better than the 3.x release? Meaning if I add COLOR to the bbcodes list that I don't want to allow, will it remove the color pulldown? If not, can we have an option to not display the color pulldown for those of us with light and dark skins who don't want things to look nasty?

anyone knows why any shoutbox I install got the "loading" message and never show up...I hit "what is news" tab and back to "forum" tab and then you can see the chat in the shoutbox but if I live the webpage and back again, I see again "loading" forever... I never have this issue till I upgrade to 4.0 .... is something wrong with the axaj IMO, any tips?

I can create an article and promote to article just fine on my end with this add-on.

I use chrome, I see with IE it loads after 1-2 sec, but with CHROME dont.....

after collapsing the button to bring it back disappears

it seems to be a good release of a chat box, for the first release of this hack it looks good and i think after some updates it will work fine - i am looking forward which one will be the best chat box for the vb 4.x suite ;)

at the moment i like the hacks of VSA very much ;)

a good product the MGC is not released for vb 4.x - we will see which one is the best then ;) i love the chat box hacks for vb

I hope we will get more options and settings for this box like the big range of options in th mgc ... maybe if this becomes reality then the vsa would be my favorit ;)

When trying to promote item to article, or using the article system within vbcms

I've fixed several style and other issues, but I can not reproduce these:
- vsacb_userexcluded() error
- CB does not work in 'Above Footer'

vbet_getSupportedTranslations() is not this product's function.

Is the error when you create a new article fixed?

I use the style simple black and the chat appeared to go well on forum.

You can public a little guide for HOW TO install this product and where do you have pasted the code in what template or in what position.
I think that can be this the problem that create this error becuase the chat in forum is good.
now i've importd the prodct and i've seen that's appeared one new template called VALTER but (actually) i've not putted the code and perhas it can be the solution?
So i repeta that's would be great if you have a littel guide or some snapshot of these steps necessary . .

Ja im IE8 sieht die Box nicht so toll aus! Zu viele Style Fehler, anstatt das Add-ons erst mal richtig durch zu testen, auf Herz und Nieren zu prüfen und dann erst veröffentlichen. Erspart Stress :)

It is happening, although not to me as I am an admin but if my super moderator creates they get the error.

Same here I have it disabled for now. Which makes my users unhappy.

Also uninstalled! Error if creating an articel. Hope it will work soon with the CMS

i have the same problem as matthieugoua and zbosskiller maybe to do with fixed width?, also running in cms and seems to have a problem with page selection, when i replace index with forum

also placing {vb:raw vsachatbox} in templates does not seem to work

on another note its brilliant to see the best vb mod updated for 4 cant wait to get it working

Its really hard to find the templates for this mod.. because they are named Valter Templates... why not just make it simple and name it vsa_chatbox templates?

To upgrade:
-Import product XML, allow overwrite

To add to desired template (example FORUMHOME):
1. Add 'index' to THIS_SCRIPT locations (Product options)
2. Add 'FORUMHOME' to template names (Product options)
3. Open 'FORUMHOME' template and put "{vb:raw vsachatbox}" to desired line (for example after '<!-- /main -->') -> Save


Note:
Currently this does not work on CMS.

is it also possible to have the msg alligned to the usernames because theres memers with long names and if they post a msg all msgs will be extended aswell and usernames with short name will just be too wierd to readd as it will leave a huge space btw the names and msg

which is better chat box or chat VSa GCBOS chatbox? Which consumes less server resources and does not return the forum so slow?

The smilies thing is still behind the italic and underline control. Also the CMS error is still there.

I don't know about speed and server resources, but personally I think VSa is way more user friendly.

Good thing it is only on my test forum.

VSA is a much more "normal" chatbox - but GCBOS framework is simpler and I had it running in the CMS easily. But I did not like the "typewrite" effect.... AND I am still looking for a chatbox with sound alerts. MCG has taken over development of MCG Chatbox and that might be the best option - however... MCG has ALOT of overhead...

I may dump all these box chats and go with arrowchat once it is released.

If you read through the thread you would see that the promote/create article issue is not new and was a problem from first release.

the color dropdown is not working also after the update into Safari browser:
So you can choose the colors and if you click one you also see it but the dropdown is complete white. It would be nice if that can be changed (see also screenshot).

Think what you may, but you'd be wrong in that assumption. As you can tell from my post, I have dabbled with just about every chatbox you can think of - to include...
FlashChat, ASPChat (yes ASP - you'd be surprised what you can do with cookies), 123Chat, ProChatRooms, Off-Site Chats, CYBChat, Inferno, MCG Chat (which I paid for and mentioned it is in the process of being updated), as well as GCBOS (which I gave props too as well) and many many others... I hope this chat does work out great, it is the best "normal" chatbox released yet (for 4.0) - albeit with a few kinks. However my users demand an alert sound (which seems minor to some developers and is rarely found in these types of chat engines - minus MCG Chat) and I look for a chat I can easily integrate across the entire site without a lot of template problems - like the arcade, gameroom, photopost addons and other content (which is why I mention other addons such as arrowchat) - So yes, I mention it because had not someone mentioned it in a similar post here - I would not have known it existed....

mmm if i was too pay i most certainly will purchase arrowchat....which btw looks promising so tempted to purchase a chat system like Facebook which should be accessible on any page.... mmmmmmm
