Just because a coder creates a lite and paid mod doesn't give them the right to shut down all discussions of how the pro version compares to a separate free version available here on vbulletin.org. I suggest you reply to to your potential customers in a polite way and if there are features that are missing from the alternative free product, you think about implementing them to generate sales. If you're going to sell a mod extremely similar to a mod here at vbulletin.org that works with the current version, I suggest you outline the benefits that make it better.

I welcome more addons to combat spam. Unfortunately I do not see many attractive functions yet, but hope to see that in the future.

I would much rather see stopforumspam than any other service. Simply because SFS has a large userbase and has proven to be very effective.

The keyword blacklist is an important feature, which would make this addon stand out, if this feature would be added to the lite version.

Other features that would make this addon attractive are:

• Bad Behavior and Project Honeypot
• Registration time check (ISBOT)
• Hidden registration fields visible to bots only
• Multiple account detection and prevention
• Fake email domains blocklist

If you would combine major functions like these in a well supported addon, then that would be appealing. Both for your lite product and for your gold version.
