Locking any post request

VB 4
Version: 4.1.12

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if there's a mod which I can use to allow one of my custom groups to lock any post. I've only seen the option to close own thread only but I want it for any post.

Thanks

What would that mean exactly? As far as I know in vb you can only lock a thread.

I've added an image . Okay so you see the option for open / close own threads is only available, I want an option for open / close any threads, so the user can open/close anyone's thread.

OK, I think what you can do (although I admit I've never tried it) is to use the forum manager to add the user as a moderator to whichever forums you need, and you'll get a list of permissions that you can set for that user (and you don't have to assign them to any moderator user group).

ETA: but then I guess you'd have to do that for each user - I see you were asking about doing it for a usergroup, and I don't know if there's any way to do that.

Thanks, I'll do it the way you posted above for now until someone posts a mod to make it so it appears in the usergroup permission. Do you think it would be possible for someone to convert it off SMF as they have this option available.
