I'm thinking of starting to make custom vbulletin themes... But I'm under the imperssion that the money is not much.
I wanted to ask the ones of you that make custom themes how much you charge for them (I know it varies, I am asking from and to prices). If you don't feel comfortable to say that in public you can pm me

I can tell you how much i've been charged

$250 for a basic one, but it rocks.

was quoted up to 1500 for one, but that was riduculous for what i wanted. Most ranged from 250-450 for a basic one

So you could probably make Upto $500 for a good basic skin

I think 200$ is a good price for all With premium styles to sell ,I think 25$/style
I don't know how to get high price with normal structure With me ,original structure deserve free styles . Premium styles must have good look in all resolution with interesting structure

Taken that each full style takes me about one week, $200 is less than $30 per day. Not enough imho.

I think it all depends what your planning to intergrate with the style whther it's just a basic style or a basic style with every image (stock image) being replaced. I would charge about $300 -500 dollars because I know that if I'm designing a style & graphics that they are going to be designed from the ground up and totally unique.

If I were to sell premium styles I would charge $25-$30 dollars. This imho can generate more income than providing a 1 off unique style for a customer. Another factor to consider is how long the style takes and how much time your designing it to make it worth while designing a one off custom design.

I stated (above) $300-$500 dollars but I've designed one basic style for a client at work and charged them 600 pounds and that took me 3 days.

There are all different factors to consider. I find that I got a mediocre price for the (1 style) I sold and find that it's not really worth it.

Depending on what the project calls for, anywhere between $200 and $800, though it could possibly reach a higher cost. Each project is individual and is dealt with on such a basis.

Some clients need only simplistic changes and charging $200 simply is overpriced for them, so it is normally lower. Those needing a complete style from the ground up are quoted a bit more.

I'm mostly taking about themes with not many or very heavy template changes (mostly header, navbar, forumhome, threadbits, forumbits, memberinfo etc) but all icons will be made by me, colour themes, graphics etc. This in a previous client took me about 1 week (and she scammed me at the end but that's another story )
