Just thought of an idea for a hack...
It would be pretty neat to have a forum at the top of your list, which is your "Sticky Forum"... When a post is made "sticky", instead of moving it to the top of the list for that current forum, it made a sticky copy in your sticky forum... It would leave the original where it was, but make a copy to the other forum, Then you wouldn't have a whole heap of "sticky" topics at the top of each forum before you get to the most recent posts, and it would work as an announcement board for important topics. Anyone think this is a good idea? No members have liked this post.
