I want to run some advertising on my site.

I really haven't 'launched' the site yet, but I have banners to throw into the mix to help get things rolling.

Right now I have a fluid format and I want to go to a fixed format. I think the fixed formats are cleaner and easier to use and control. I am looking to see where are good places to put ads on the site and what type of ads to put.

If anyone here has a site with ads (preferably different sizes and different locations) could you post it so I can just see what is the 'norm' and acceptable? I already have ad software installed (GAB) so that isn't an issue. I also have banners in between every 5 posts in the forums.
