i know this mod and its really great, but after sometime forum becomes a thread junk. imagine that, all users open their own thread for every single video and no one can access easily to the old ones.

in a gallery like system users can have their own sections (same as photopost user section) and can store their favorite videos there

This mod is changing. I'm slowly adding features to it. The way I have it working on a test site is users can post videos in forums allowed by the admin and the system keeps track of all media. So there will be one page to goto with all videos posted. I have ratings and tags working and comments are next. If you just turn off videos in the forums it will work like a youtube site.

If you're using PhotoPost vBGallery I can pass on a hack I'm using to display videos inline like any other image file.

Give me a day or so to clean it up and I'll post it somewhere. Essentially it's an updated version of the hack I released long ago (originally at vBa then the thread was transferred to the PP forums) but now I put the templates into the vB template system, etc., instead of having everything hardcoded. Plus I threw in a giant kludge for YouTube videos & the such.

For those wanting a copy of the media hack for vBGallery, for now you can grab a copy from here. After I get some feedback on it (eg: Are there any recommended changes? Did everything work per the instructions? Was it easy enough to administer? Etcetera.) the plan is to release it over at the PP support forums and here.
