Localize (translate) forum name, forum titles & forum descriptions
Developer Last Online: Dec 2007
I created this for the bilingual forums I admin, and thought it might be useful to others.
If you have a multi-lingual board or you allow users to choose their interface language, this mod is for you. It allows you to localize or translate the name of your forums, and the titles & descriptions for each forum. How it works You input the title/name for a forum like this for example: English Title | German Title | Spanish Title and depending on the language the user has selected, the appropriate title will be displayed. What it works with This mod works with the following: - Forum titles - Forum descriptions Plus the following settings: (in vB Options -> Site name / URL / Contact details) - Forum name - Home page name - Contact us options - Copyright text - Company name Installation - Install the product XML file via the Product Manager. Admin Options You can: - Turn the mod on/off - Define the character to use as a separator between localized names - Decide which vB options to localize - Decide the order of the languages in the titles/desc/options. History v 1.0.0 Initial release Screenshots ![]() The ACP Options: ![]() Download Now Only licensed members can download files, Click Here for more information. I'd love to, but I don't have vBSEO, and so I don't know what it does to vB internally. How exactly is it not compatible?
