Here is a small contribution to this community.

I noticed that this template modification was available for 3.0 and 3.5, but not for 3.7.

Credits:
Was motivated by the original hack, created by Brad.


What does it do?
It will allow you to place the signature at the very bottom of the post.

What's the difference between this and the previous versions?
  • The table area for the signature will shrink to fit the signature. This will avoid the bottom table from directly following the end of a post.
  • The edited note has been moved to the absolute bottom. (On past versions they have showed directly after the post, before the sig.)

Versions tested and working on:
  • 3.7.0

Notes:
  • This is ONLY for postbit_legacy users.
  • Those with very customized templates may reply to this thread or pm me for a different code. Please make a copy of your postbit_legacy before altering it.
  • Support is offered to the best of my ability and when time permits.
  • I will only offer support to those who have clicked install.

Installation:

Find in postbit_legacy template:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

replace with:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Find in postbit legacy template:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)

greetings,

i have installed the mod ... but its showing 2 shades on the postbit ... how can this be fixed to one color as it would have been without the mod ...

Try this code. You had the wrong "alt" changed. I've highlighted the change I made.

nope that doesnt work ... maybe becoz of my theme's settings ... anyother fixes ?

do a search for this:

replace it with this:

That should do it for the first bit of coding.

Let me know if you need help with the second.

Great it worked but how do i get rid of the line that makes it look like to seperate boxes?

I would like it if it looked like one box instead of being seperated by a line and t shades of color.

The shade of colors is controlled by the value "alt" is set to.

The line is controlled by cellspacing I believe. Change the value to 0.
