Rotating Banner System Details »»
|
|||||||||
With the Rotating Banner System software, you may publish literally anywhere standard banners and advertising, with no restriction but your imagination. Unlike many other products, it allows to show an unlimited amount of banners and advertising, which are randomly shown at the places you choose, and you may refer generically to an Ad by using specific placeholders.
Also the management is straight-forward and simple to use. Forum administrators with maintenance rights may add, edit and delete records from the Administration Control Panel (ACP), one of each representing a banner. After saving the new banner settings, they are immediately visible at your board. Compatibility: from vBulletin 3.6.5 onwards By the way, I do also install the hack on your boards, but since I am very, very busy, it may take some time (weeks) until it gets done. Tutorials:

Great looking hack. I'm just starting to play with it. Is there a way to rotate different subsets of banners in different locations?
ie. @vbbanners_set1@ in location 1 and @vbbanners_set2@ in a different location? No members have liked this post.

However, you may choose forums and usergroups, and thus refine your banner locations up to a high degree. No members have liked this post.

Banners Swapping
I have a number of normal banners and google setup as my vertical banner, the only issue I have is that when I enable the vertical banner, both sets swap locations.
Any idea what I am doing wrong ? No members have liked this post.

will look into this, can the banners within the entire product be renamed so that it bypasses adblock etc ?

Could you please ensure you have in the banner options (bottom of vbulletin option list) 2 different placeholders? If both are the same, the replacement may swap. I could not imagine other conflicts.

I'm not sure what you mean. If you intend to hide ads from ad blockers, this may be done only by intelligent scripts. I doubt however simple image ads would be rejected by any software I am aware of. Image banners are simply inserted into the templates, as if they were any kind of picture.

Sure. Use image banners and insert as the URL a # sign.

There is already a filter against showing one ad more than once on any page. If you have the same ad inserted multiple times in the database though, you will have to disable the ones you wish not to show, or apply different rules. No members have liked this post.
