What is the Linkbee Links Manager?

As read about on CNET / Venturebeat / Yahoo News and many more, Linkbee has now developed an application for all vbulletin webmasters, dubbed the Linkbee Link Manager!

Linkbee provides the ability to combine three important aspects, social bookmarking, a url service that converts long url links into shorter url links, and a service that turns your existing links and new links into cash! Great for bloggers, forum users, webmasters, business users and more. Linkbee makes it easy and simple to get paid for posting and sharing links.

The purpose of Linkbee.com is to shorten your url's, track stats, manage links and allow yourself to earn a little cash while doing so. Not all users on Linkbee opt to place ads on their short links, but the ones who do will end up walking away with a cheque! All this has now come to vBulletin, we've developed an add-on which allows your users to automatically shorten their links and earn cash. Better yet, we've built the option for webmasters to earn cash as well, either by referral or by just simply encoding all new links under their own account.

SIMPLE PLUGIN INSTALL - The installation is as simple as it gets, and there is no reason to avoid installing this add-on. You're only providing your users with more incentive to use your forums.

The hack seems to make two (2) links in my linkbee account for every one link I make on my forum. Other that that is seems to work great!

I can't get it to work with my quick reply. It works fine when replying using the normal method, just not using quick reply.

Hey I will need a little more information. What hacks do you currently have installed and what version of VB are you running?

Let me elaborate just a bit more...there is no checkbox to convert the links to LinkBee links in the quick reply box thus any links posted do not get converted as they do when using the full reply box.

We are looking into any possible conflicts with any of the above hacks.

From the quick reply box, links should automatically convert if the user fills in the account information or if the webmaster fills in their account information and opts in the admin to convert all links.

I registered on your site but you have to be a premium member to post so there's no way to know if this works on quick reply or not since the demo site can't be tested without a premium membership. I guess for now I'll consider this to not work on the quick reply until we get a demo that allows us to test for free. The sad part is when I click to become a premium member I am taken to a 404 Page Not Found page. I love the addon but something needs to be fixed or proven that the quick reply works.

This is a bug in our forums, will be fixing. We just launched a new platform for Jokeroo.com and there seems to be a few bugs. Let me know your username I can enable you to test right away. I'll also let everyone know when the bug is fixed for new registrations.

Ok, the full reply link converted to a linkbee link. The quick reply did not.

One thing I noticed that I could do on my board is edit the quick reply post with the advanced post editor and then submit and the link would convert. As for converted by just using quick reply it did not. I think it may have something to do with the AJAX feature of quick reply.

to make sure i understand this thing....i install the mod, then in options i put my linkbee info in the options area, then the links posted should be converted to linkbee link? i set it to real time and it didnt work, and i had it on cron job and i manually ran the job and it didnt work.

i set the usergroup setting for admins to work for the linkbee so i can test it.

got a question tho, if we get this to work, and then down the road i want to uninstall this mod, do all the links on the forum going to linkbee convert back or stay pointing to linkbee?
