Hi folks, just wondering if its legal to change this V image on browser? if its possible how to do so?

It's called a favicon, and of course it's legal to change it.
After you create one (16x16 pixels) just name it favicon.ico and upload it to your website root. www.favicon.cc. No members have liked this post.

oh, ok so then it goes into the FTP and not through admincp?

The root folder is the one you put all your php files in. It's the folder that you go to when you type in www.yoursite.com
