Nicecoder has released a plugin for IndexU Deluxe v1.1 to integrate the vBulletin user database.

By using this plugin users of vBulletin can log into IndexU with their vBulletin login.

The vBulletin and IndexU scripts must reside on the same domain.

Attached is the latest version of the plugin that will be included with IndexU Deluxe v1.2. This plugin will work with IndexU Deluxe v1.1, simply overwrite the exisitng files. This plugin fixes some bugs that were found in previous versions.

Note that this plugin is included with IndexU Deluxe, this is just an updaed version.

I would rather have indexu over most of the directory scripts, I would say its by far one of the most feature rich and cost effective.
I dont need vbadavanced additional to vblinks to run a links / forum / cms, I just need vbulletin and indexu.

Thanks for the plugin, installed

Hi, I'm indexu programmer (dody).
This plugin is the first phase of the integration. We'd love to hear your comment to improve this plugin.

Thanks.

What's strange is that I subscribed to this thread and until today, I have not received any notifications of replied.

My apologies for not responding sooner.

emtee - IndexU is a directory script. Most users use it for making a directory of websites but there are directories of books, coupons, recipes, yellow pages sites, and lots more. It's a very versatile script.

Marco - I am in fact a part owner of Nicecoder and do most of the support for Nicecoder as well.

R1D1 - To be honest, I haven't tested whether it can be on a different domain or not, but the programmers have told me it needs to be so I defer to them. I'll talk to them about the possibility of being able to use it off domain as well.

I'm not sure I understand what to do with this download at all. Does it get installed as a plugin in vbulletin or is it an indexu install only? There's not a word of instructions or even a readme or anything in this archive -- just 4 files and not a word of explanation..

Can anyone guide me on this please? I've got indexu deluxe running and vbulletin is running on my site too but I haven't a clue how to use this patch to tie the two products together.

Thanks.

It's an IndexU plugin, and it's included with version 1.21 if that is what you have.

Log into the admin panel, go to plugins, click on enable. Then you enter the path to your vbulletin install.

Thanks very much. That may be all I needed. How about adding a short doc file to the archive that explains exactly how to install it and what it's supposed to do (i.e. how behaviors should change) on both sides of the product fence once it is up and running?

I'm gonna go try it now.

Thanks!
