Question Why are most English styles the same

Hi,

I run English and Arabic forums. When it comes to finding Arabic styles, it's really easy and fun. But when trying to find English ones, I find that they are almost all the same..just a little different in the colors but no artistic designs really.
I want to show you some pics of Arabic styles so you see the difference. I wish some one can make such styles in English because I don't know how to change the Arabic ones I have into English..lack of experience.

Making those styles are no problem but they use too much of server resources.
If you wish I can make you real heavy design without any problem.

Different cultures will find different things appealing. Personally I'm not a fan of the Arabic styles you posted, and I've been to many Arabic boards in my life and they all generally have graphic heavy, intense themes. The basic point is that Arabic themes will appeal to the Arabian people more so then something simple with 2-3 colors.

You are right that many of these styles take some time to load but they are not that heavy. It's just that they have a thematic look. Like for instance, if I am making a school website, I can have a style that shows a school bus, students....you know what I mean? But although the English styles are lighter, they almost all look the same.
I am not trying to compare E and A styles ok..don't get me wrong..I just need a bigger variety of E styles to choose from.
Hey seven skins, would you happen to know how I can change an A style into an E one? It has to do with changing graphics from right to left or left to right. If you are interested, I can send you an A one to try. Thanks all for taking the time to comment.

I think you would be forgiven for giving the stylers are bit of a break. Normally, graphic intensive styles require a great deal of modifications and template edits. If your lucky to find a intensive modified style within the database then count it as a bonus. The styles here give you the basis to further modify to your needs and make the intensive changes you want. Normally, the PSD/source file is included with the style so there's no reason why you cannot make such modications yourself to fit your needs.

Submitters give you a generic basis which has more positives than the negatives as most people will use the standard out of box style rather than the intensive modified style.

If it's graphically intensive top range styles that you want you will need to dig a little deeper and opt for a style by one of the vbulletin styling providers.

Thanks for passing by. I searched till I dropped for a graphical style that was out of the ordinary but came up empty handed. Miner skins are not bad. Just tried his paper skin but problem there is that he deleted the moderators' column and for that, I can't use it.
I will try out your idea and play around with the PSD to see what I can cook up. Thanks.
