DJ's AME (Auto Media Embedding) XML Media Definitions (Delta Edition)
Developer Last Online: May 2013
NEARLY 300 SUPPORTED SITES FOR VIDEOS, AUDIO, GAMES AND MORE Request Forum is Temporarily Down. A New One Will Be Made Available Shortly. Previous Requests Have Mostly Been Filled. ======================================== IMPORTANT These XML Files must be imported through your AME CP. That requires The Geek's AME - The Automatic Media Embedding System to be installed on your forum. Then you can come back here and import these definitions. ======================================== VERSION INFO These definitions are for AME 2.5 for the vBulletin 3.x series. If you are running an older version of AME on 3.x, I recommend you upgrade to the AME 2.5. They DO NOT work on AME 3, nor does AME 2.5 work on vB4.x. WHAT THIS IS This thread is the fourth installment of a series of threads where we tried to collect media definitions for the AME modification by The Geek. The brilliance of The Geek's modification was that support for a given site could be added by people who knew a little about Regular Expressions, and then share the exported definitions with the community without The Geek having to update the modification each and every time. Hotwheels, and then Dannyloski started the tradition of collecting all the definitions in one thread because, quite frankly, it was a mess trying to keep up with every new attachment randomly added to a post, much less know where an updated one was. With one major thread and one person organizing them and tweaking them to have consistent formatting, it made it much easier to keep track of everything, for everyone. Now we have all the definitions collected in one Master file where people can pick and choose what they want, or import everything. LIVE DEMO Sorry, no Live Demo at the moment. Site will be down while we continue to have server issues. MEDIA DEFINITIONS New definitions are always in the works and any requests or XML contributions of your own are welcome. This is the complete list of Media Definitions, alphabetized and sorted by category. Please read any notations I've made for a particular definition here, since I can't include them in the XMLs. Note any definitions that say Toggle in this list. That simply means there's another definition with the same name that needs to be turned off if you use one, or the other. They can't be active at the same time. (e.g. Amazon Thumbnails and Amazon Links) Games A NOTE ABOUT SUPPORT I can't stress this enough. I NEED LINKS in order to troubleshoot problems. Links to the video. Links to the thread. I can't do anything without knowing what videos are causing the problem. If all you do is post that a particular site is not working and provide me with nothing to look at, well, how can I fix it? Following this simple guideline will save us both a lot of time and effort. (And check the FAQ on the first page. I worked really hard on that one. )Please note that I do new definition requests in the order they were received. DOWLOAD AND INSTALLATION Definitions are installed by importing them through your AME CP in your Admin CP. YOU DO NOT IMPORT THEM THROUGH YOUR PRODUCT MANAGER. DJ's Master XML (Delta): This Master XML contains all the definitions to date and contains the most recent updates. You would start here if your starting fresh or starting over. As I add new definitions, I release them individually in my Update posts. So you don't have to come back here every time there's an update. When importing, you will be given the option to import all or just selected definitions. Note that some definitions may say "(Old)". However, you will still need them for that particular site. Go ahead. Click Install. Click it. CLICK IT!!!! Oh yeah, and also if you want notifications of updates. Download Now Only licensed members can download files, Click Here for more information. I would try to re-download the files, yours may be corrupt. Also try with a different browser.

Tried FF and IE. Manually installed the ones I wanted and seem to be okay. Glad I don't want a bunch of them installed! Perplexed. No members have liked this post.

Edit the xml file and delete the definition it stops at and the one after it and try again... could be a bad character messing up the whole file.

I used to have Goldbrick installed. I have uninstalled it and rebuilt my post cache - so now all posts which used the tags have links inside them.
How can i get AME to take these media tags and convert them into AME tags? I understand the bit about "converting codes" - but it doesn't seem to apply to this. No members have liked this post.

I don't know what Goldbrick is but if you are left with simply links to media (not inside any bb codes) then in the Admin CP -> AME CP -> Tools there is a "Rebuild" option for posts... be warned it could take a while on a large forum. I'd suggest closing the forum before running the tool. Wouldn't hurt to backup the database either.

The links to media are wrapped in URL bb code. Will rebuilding turn these into AME code?

Still not having short youtube links to work. Anyone else have this problem?
Here is one that will not work. I have to use the "long" url version. http://youtu.be/V-Z2l28UDQA This is the regular expression I have:

The regular expression should be:
It was missing the - after the \w in the first parameter. \w = any latter or number or underscore (but it doesn't match the dash (-) so you have to add the dash manuall because youtube ID's can have dashes in them. I'm not sure if those double ?'s are right but if it works with other videos but not all I'm sure the dash is the problem.

Reposting from last page:
This GameSpot video isn't parsing: http://www.gamespot.com/the-secret-w...video-6349173/ It appears that GameSpot has changed their video URL scheme. Almost all that I can find at http://www.gamespot.com/videos/index.html are www.gamespot.com / <gamename> / videos / videoname-videoid which doesn't match either of the conditions in the two GameSpot definitions (at least what my limited knowledge of expressions tells me). The current expressions and replacements for GameSpot are:
