Submit to Twitter, Facebook and Digg
Developer Last Online: Feb 2010
I have been adding these as I go and decided to share, I am sure there are other versions out there but this is how I do it. See screenshot for example of where it goes and how it looks. Keeping up with the latest in social networking keeps traffic flowing to your site.
This can all be added at once or you may add only the one's you want. Additionally, this will probably work in any version of vB. In the SHOWTHREAD template find:
Paste this ABOVE:
Note the bolded statements above, these are where you must make changes: enter the forum id's of the forums where you do not want it to show <if condition="in_array($forum['forumid'], array(1,2))"> You will also see that in the digg section there is an option to change the background color and you will need to add your site URL. The tweet image is attached, upload to your forum and change the path in the "Twitter Share" section. Update: This has also been updated to vB4 Beta 3 here http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=228610 Download Now Only licensed members can download files, Click Here for more information. I just installed this mod and I'm wondering the same thing.
The only way I've been able to get a hash tag IE: #vb or #tcot into a tweet is to put it in the Thread/Post Title box. It makes the thread/post titles look weird and I'm not sure how that will affect vBSEO. I think I'm going to have to uninstall for now. Otherewise, this is a nice mod!

Will this mod be updated for vBulletin 4? Also, is there supposed to be a line through the box next to the social buttons that says "View First Unread"? There's a line through it on mine.

I have no idea how vB4 is setup but I'm sure this will be easy enough to add to it. |

when submitting via 'tweet this', it is not automatically shortening the url. What is the code I need to add/change?

It does, it has to be submitted before you see the shortened URL.

Hey guys i run a forum using VBSEO. The urls are longer than normal vbulletin links. and usually leave me with little room to add text to the tweet.
of course twitter shortens the url. is there any way to do this automatically before the tweet is constructed? Click here actually visit the link and you can see for yourself ![]() An example of a normail url on MyModelTalk is below:

Facebook modification works perfect!!
The only issue I have is that when you hover on the image it all goes completley blue, where in Main CSS do I change this? You can see it here for example when you attempt to click on it http://www.mytattooforum.com/tattoo-...-tattooed.html
