Help Needed Bad
Alright, so I uploaded everything to my hosting and am entering the installation process. I created the directory for my forum after uploading(Not sure if I was to to do this) to www.collegesportsaddicts.com
Now I am stuck in the installation process because when I put in www.collegesportsaddicts.com/install/install.php it don't work. It says it has a HTTP error 404. So, I could really use some help and some possible solutions. Anything is worth trying since I have been working on getting this installed for the past 4 days. No members have liked this post.

You said you created a directory for your forum? You proabaly need to add that to your path - www.collegesportsaddicts.com/directory/install/install.php

So I put in my URL and it created a folder under it. So, I don't think I was to do that. No members have liked this post.

So did you or did you not add a directory?
Did you read the manual on how to install vbulletin? Installing vBulletin You might want to ask these questions over on vbulletin.com. This site is for help on modifying your code.

Look like server configuration issue.
See if DNS is pointing to your server etc... Also you can use your IP address to install vbulletin. No members have liked this post.

I'm getting so confused and frustrated. I will try the things above. Is there anyway I can give my info to someone else that is very skilled at doing this and still be the admin and what not. Just be taking a risk with that person having my info?

Because this is my first time setting it up myself and being 'non-tech savvy' means that I pirated my license? WTF? No members have liked this post.

MizzouHoopster, it is indeed a dns problem, where is your domain set up with?
godaddy.com namecheap.com n4me.eu Where? If you told us this would help, then we could tell you how to set up the dns, and fix your forums. ![]() No members have liked this post.

Well, then you should not have a problem then. I never used hostgator before though.
, but sense you bought the domain off the host your using. There should be no problem unless your spelling the domain incorrectly. No members have liked this post.

Looks like your site is up now, but it only shows the /index you need to upload files to it. Your proply uploading them into the wrong folder, upload them into the public_html, or whatever folder it tells you to upload them to.

Okay I did that. Now what do I do. Like when you go to my website it shows upload.
However, what should I put in the broswer to get the install. I put www.collegesportsaddicts.com/install/install.php and it didn't work. --------------- Added 27 Nov 2009 at 02:19 --------------- Nevermind, I have brought up the installer now, but I am having to go back because I didn't change the hosting and all that because I thought it said it wasn't needed yet. So, I am going back to that. --------------- Added 27 Nov 2009 at 02:28 --------------- Alright, stuck on step 2: Error description: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'kris20'@'localhost' (using password: NO) /home/kris20/public_html/upload/includes/class_core.php on line 312 No members have liked this post.
