I have seen a lot of styles, that are nice. But most of them are too bright for my tastes.
I also don't like styles that are pitch black either, so I came up with this as a middle ground. It's mostly deep blues with contrasts. I didn't edit any of the images except for the banner (which you may want to change). This is my first hand at skinning so let me know what you think. ^_^ DEMO: http://www.jihen-theory.net P.S. the only widget I edited was the navigation menu (it's the only one I use) so you're going to have to edit the others if you want to use them. Been playing with this one and the cover looks awesome. but still needs tons of tweaking. mainly adjusting text colors in the different areas.

I like this style a lot, except the real dark Blue is hard on my old eyes, I like the background for the Posts and the post boarder colors also. If the Deep Blue can be altered then I would like to install this, It really is nice.

You can change the backgrounds in the stylevars under, doc_background for the main background and body_background (I think) for the actual forum background.

Ok, Thanks I will give it a go and see how bad I can mess it up. LOL About 2 shade of blue lighter ought to do the trick
Nice blend of Colors ! It's just a tad bit hard on my ole eyes when colors are real dark. tks for the How-to Adjust
