Unauthorised google ads - WTF?
I've just noticed Google ads appearing in my forum posts and I didn't put them there.
If i'm logged in as Admin they don't appear, view the thread as guest and there they are. Is this something in v4 that i'm unaware of or could it be a plugin that I have installed that is embedding these ads? I'll not be impressed if it's the latter. ![]() --------------- Added 27 Feb 2010 at 10:11 --------------- I've disabled all plugins and products but still have same problem. Have you checked your ads?
AdminCP > Ads > Manage ads? Delete them. No members have liked this post.

Create a new style with no parent:
If it is still happening - Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem. Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

Does this mean it is something embedded in the style I was using? No members have liked this post.

Yeah inside the last post of a thread.
Had a look in SHOWTHREAD but I can't see the wood for the trees and don't know what i'm looking for. When I check out my page source I can see this:

It's not gonna be in showthread. It would be in whichever postbit template you are using or in the ad template. Did you look to see which ad templates have been modified? Like ad_thread_last_post_content perhaps?

I would have thought not, especially if the ad revenue is going back to their accounts rather than yours. If that is the case, send Google an email, and they'll deal with it.
