I know that there is a PayPal add-on where a user can purchase credits with their PayPal account. Then, they can purchase the item(s) with the credits purchased.

I know some people have big issues with this so I am posting it here for them to read before they download and install this.

Licensee understands and accepts that data containing the Licensee's web site URL and PixelFX Studios productid shall be sent to (and stored by) PixelFX Studios during the Software installation process.

That is found in the Terms of Service on their website. (#8) I don't use vbcredits so this wouldn't be practical for me, but I thought people should know this since many don't read TOS Agreements.

We ask on our license system that when someone installs our software they add their URL where they installed the software this is not mandatory but it helps so we can offer better support, for sites this is only on our site.

We have a paypal addon that can convert real money to credits for use in vBCommerce, should you be interested please pm me on our site.

I am confused, what is a Gold Beta?

We had planed to do a private test of our final version of vbcredits I v2.0.0 gold & vbcommerce I v2.0.0 gold but decided to make the test public aka here, so this is that test, so more people could get involved. However however I guess it beats saying Patch level 1, patch level 2.

We ask that if anyone finds any major bugs to please pm me, and I'll sort them out before declaring this a gold release, so we don't have to put vbcommerce I v2.0.0 gold - Patch level 1, 2, 3 etc etc.

This is a GREAT MOD! I installed it and have it on my website as a virtual shop so that members can give gifts to each other, it works so nice and smooth. I also use it so that members can buy things from the shop and use them on their living avatars. I just cant say how nice this mod is. However I recently discovered that when I have this mod installed in my website, my forums keep getting the following error

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

I figured it would have to do something with my server so I contacted customer suppor and they told me the following:

You are receiving this error because we have a script in our servers that kills connections on databases that stay open for too long. Is possible that the problem is withing your script, you may want to disable persistent connections to see if the error continues.

I notice that I get this database errors only when I have vbcommerce activated, if I deactivate it my website runs smoothly once again. Anyone has any suggestions or isexperiencing the same probelm?

Besides this very personal unique problem that I have, all I have to say again, is that this script is just awesome.

In order for a user to purchase a physical good they must first purchase credits and then use the credits towards the purchase of the product?

Yes, using our Paypal Addon for vBCredits I v2.0.0 Gold, however I can't discuss that addon here. You would also need to manually ship out any physical items you planed to sell to the end users once the item was bought.
