can anyone please help me
can anyone please help me...
i have a website which i did for my wife, called thepoetrymansion.com due to recent illness it has been missing of the internet for a while... i have been in contact with a company called knownhost, who i presume i use as a place to have the site, and they have been brought and paid up to date.... but now all i see when i go to the site is some poxy shoe website.... can anyone tell me what i gotta do, as i am no good at this stuff and havent a butchers what im doing PLEASE HELP clive No members have liked this post.

well your webpage has been replaced it sounds like, so unless you had backups its probibly gone.
but websites are a dime a dozen and can be made in minutes now days. but why r u here in vb forums gets me. if your not running vb how in the world did you find this place?. anyway just make a new website, there must be some ad being used as webpage on the server your hosting on. --------------- Added 30 Sep 2010 at 22:18 --------------- ok i went and looked and there is a site on that domain so u may have lost your domain name . might wanna check that out No members have liked this post.

the website was built using this place, thats how i knew of it..... knownhost told me they had a back-up of the site, and were able to replace it, but all i got is this shoe place.... VB is the software used for the site, if that makes sense asd it dont to me really

ok so something is wierd for sure as thats not even vb software running on that site

im wondering in my limited knowledge, if i am meant to pay something here or at vb.com which may also help in getting the site back.. does this seem possible?

if you can goto the cpanel you should be able to see whats going on

i cant do anything on that site which is showing up, but its defo not mine....

well you should have an account at the hosting site that were you can get into cpanel
http://knownhost.com/ go there and find out whos useing your account i guess. get your account passwords for using that site, that what you need to goto to get anything done No members have liked this post.

they probibly have a ads page showing where yours should be, sometimes they do that to force you to pay, just ask them to take thier page dwon and so your shows again.
