I'd like to be able to create sub-forums dynamically via an API rather than manually via admincp. There could be a large number of sub-forums, so manually would be quite onerous.

Picking through the documentation , I found that the data manager is likely the interface I need and found where admincp/forum.php creates forums.

Ideally, I'd like to find an API that encapsulates this functionality.

Alternatively, if someone has created something that could get me started down the path or could point me at some documentation outlining the bits that need to be set for forum creation, I'd be most obliged.
