Question Navbar background image woes

Hi all,

I'm trying to add background images to the navigation menu. The top one is displaying, but the buttons are causing problems, the image repeats itself and there seems to be a one pixel difference where the images starts in places.

As for the bottom half of the navbar, which I've done with a seperate image. That images isn't showing at all.

If someone could show me where I've gone so horribly wrong, I'd be most grateful.

When your specifying the background for the navbar be sure to vertical align it to the bottom, the navbar background goes up behind the actual tabs as well so if it's a 15px slim gradient your repeating and you don't align it properly i.e. to the bottom then it's there... it's just floating at the top behind the navbar tabs .

As for the other/buttons can you post a link to the site, it would help us to know exactly what your referring to and how to offer advice.

Ok first off (and not trying to be rude here but only way to say this) stop! Let's track down the current issues before you customize further. It seems for your navbar you were trying for a look similar to this: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=258222 view the first screenshot - If you do that you must edit and add in some images, the ones w/ rounded corners to the ends of the navbar etc etc plus a few other tweaks.

Now, let's have you post a copy of your NAVBAR template here for us to review.

Just wanted to say thank you for getting back to me, in the end I managed to figure it out. The only problem I'm now having is that the right padding doesn't seem to have any effect, I was hoping to push the search button over a bit for the sake of tidiness. If you could point me in the right direction, that would be swell.
