hi guys,

I'm in the middle of a test conversion from UBB Threads 6.5 to VB4 and I'm running into an issue. The forum is pretty large (4.5 million posts, 25000 users) and I'm just looking for ways to speed up the imports. The one I'm having real trouble with is PMs. There are 1.5 million PMs in the system and our members like to keep them so they have records of trades/sales etc. When importing with impex it's taking about an hour for every 5000 messages. Posts and Threads went much faster than that (about 6-8 hours total). I really can't wait 300 hours for PMs to import, so what can I do to speed this up? I'm importing from a copy of my UBB database on the same server as the VB database.

in case someone else runs into this problem, I solved it by adding the following index :

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

1.5 million PMs imported in just under an hour.
