How does this work if you use no follow on all of your vbulletin pages?

but, it depends on how they are added I guess. do you have a nofollow plugin installed? if so, let me know how it behaves so that I can resolve any issues.

if you have external nofollows enabled then the destination site will receive no seo value from the links, unless they are specifically whitelisted within VBSEO.
however if you are linking internally to another page on your site, the nofollows are not applied by VBSEO as it only adds them to external ones. SO: if your forum is about "call of duty" and you have a specific page you want to optimize for that keyword in google, you should use this to link every occurance of that term to that page, and it will improve the internal linking focus of that keyword.

it depends on what you want to optimize for mate, for instance on my site I want to appear higher for the search term "seo tools"
SO: I have set it up so that every time someone mentions that keyword phrase in a post, it links to my "seo tools" page. as they are internal links, they do NOT have the nofollow tag, and my internal linking is now optimized for that page to raise in the serps for the search term. If Im not explaining myself well here, let me know, I will write a blog post about it! cheers MOGmartin
