Bunny! Trying to show who's online in the blog section

Sounds like a simple idea... don't they all???

So I tried copying and pasting various bits of code from the forum templates, but I cannot get the online statistics to show in the blog home page.

Google also didn't reveal any success stories here.

Do any of you know how I might be able to show who's online on the blog home page?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

You would need to copy the code that looks up the info, I believe it's in forum.php. Then maybe put it in a plugin that runs when the blog home page is generated. Then you should be able to insert the template code and have it work.

Thanks Kevin.

I actually stumbled onto an older post of yours and I got the number online working.

Thanks very much.

Now the next thing is getting a list of actual user names. I'm guessing I can do the same type of plugin/script but with different SQL. Does that make sense?

Well, that's somewhat embarrassing - you found proof that I was just being lazy answering your question. (Actually I just forgot that I had already done it).

Right - find the code that does it for an existing page - I think again it's in forum.php, around where the comment "// ### LOGGED IN USERS " is.
