What is a normal server load??I checked out the server tonight at 12:23 and the server loads was where really high and I havent even seen it this high even when we reached our highest members online at once number.


2.47, 12.56, 9.69 28 users online

That much bandwith for 28 users aint normal I think someone was trying to crash the server.

Any ideas????

Well your normal load levels are going to be different from everyone else's, but yes your load is very high! I would assume that it is not being hacked, but possibly a search engine spider, or more likely a runaway process.

Have you tried to restart the server, or is that not an option for you?

Well it's a virtual server so no I cant restart it but I did check who was on at about the time it crashed and have banned that person and everything has gone back to normal since then.

Server Load Averages 16.15, 19.43, 21.22 2 users online (2 members & 0 guests).

It was about 40 earlier if I recall.. I guess Im probably going to switch host, any sudjestions?? I get it for really cheap now though, but it's just getting to slow.. So slow it basically goes down about every saturday night .. I don't know what Im going to do, but I tell you its probably not you, just another site on your shared server getting real high hits

I use webpipe dot net which isnt really that bad.
