[uShop] Add Physical Items to Store

What this hack is for:
If you want to sell actual products in your community store, such as books, videos, coffee mugs... whatever. I suggest adding products that promote your site. You can get all sorts of customized merchandise from Cafe Press . Before you ask, this is not a shopping cart to sell things with real money. It's to redeem points for tangible products. If you don't like the idea of giving stuff away for posting, this isn't the hack for you. This hack will: 1) Allow you to add physical items to uShop for shipping to your users 2) The user fills in his/her shipping info 3) An email is sent with that information to the store admin 4) An email "receipt" is sent to the user What you have to do: 1 minor change to the included action file Add 3 new templates Add your new items! ....... to make a downloadable secure thing is impossible... because no matter what they can always e-mail it to someone or upload it to a site and share it... but there is an easy way to do it i think... when you're in the regular shop, even when you click on a link it stays as the main link itemshop.php... so why not just make the thing a sale link and the link that allows you to download it checks the users cookies or something to validate if it's the previous user... it may not be easy but the whole point of the addition isn't able to be done... if one person can download it, then they can share it with whoever they want

Hmm. I installed this but the email notification isn't working, so there's no way to tell if anyone purchased the item.
Probably just put a setting wrong, but I'll look into my mistake. No members have liked this post.

I would use it for sure.
I used to have that for my invisionboard 1.3. The way it worked was that files were renamed on the download, so they can't just provide someone else with an url to download it off our bandwith. No members have liked this post.
