vB.org + vBulletintemplates.com

I really feel that vBulletintemplates.com should be merged in to vB.org. The admins at vBtemplates.com work very hard to make the community survive, and it still struggles. Lets face it, when given a choice, most people would rather hang out on vB.org.

I understand why the communities are seperate. In a utopian world, the split between the websites would function excellently, and people would go back and forth between website installing hacks and templates.

In reality, most people hang out at vB.org and vBtemplates.com is a ghost town. :ermm:

The choice seems clear: Why not merge the communities together and give vB.org a special "template" section, which incorporates vBtemplates.com template mods.

Once again, I am grateful to both communities and have installed many hacks from both sites. I feel that vBtemplates.com has many incredible template mods that would be used more if they were on vB.org. I thank all the admins on both sites for their hard work and deciation. :nervous:

This very matter is being discussed at this time by all three sites' teams.

The fun part would be merging the users/pass, and post.

It's already supported by the official Jelsoft importing scripts. The internal discussion is more administrative than technical at this point.

You'll get an official announcement on that topic soon, as filbi already said we're currently have the administrating chats.

And of course a bit of technical questions as well (we don't have plain vb's here)
Stay tuned, for more info

Such merging could only strengthen the vb community as a whole and further spur vb to greater heights.
Imo at least lol

Way to go guys

That is wonderful news. Those template mods are just as important to us as the php code hacks for the benefit they serve in our forums. Consolidating all these ideas will strengthen the whole community.

Nice idea. Cheers!
