If you are using Apache and have mod_rewrite on than you could do that easily with mod_rewrite function...

Yes, i've been searching around and got many "you can use mod_rewrite" to do this.
I just wanna know how. An url to a howto or an example would be nice. Thanks. No members have liked this post.

I'd suggest to use the Apache module mod_rewrite for this purpose.
Example You want your forums to be accessibyle as forumxx.html instead of forumdisplay.php?f=xx
