You all may be happy to know I've got this working for vb 3.6.8
To do so, perform the following additional template edits: in JOURNAL: find
change to
note the addition of the ' in the bbuserinfo calls in journal_edit_entryinfo: find:
change to:
again notice the same in journalpage find:
change to:
in journal_edit_journalinfo find:
change to:
these are all the ones i've found necessary thus far. hope this helps everybody No members have liked this post.

Sounds like an issue with the template.
You probably have a ' or " around a template variable. ie: it should be something like $var[whatever] and not $var['whatever']

I enabled xcache hack here

Installed on 3.6 and it works fine. I didn't do any template edits at all after finding that some of those edits referred to codes which don't exist on my board. Marked as installed.

I'm trying to make sure that all the bbcode functions work within the journal section. All the other bbcode works but this one.
it is a hide function bbcode that allows one to collapse a post into a single line. This is useful for lengthy citations during debates.
Anyone have any idea as to what I need to modify to make this work? No members have liked this post.
