It's a known bug that I have not got around to fixing yet.

sorry to bump back again, its being very annoying to go through each and every page for a specific hack to read through the solutions/comments from others.

the entire hack description gets loaded on every page :(
(big pain for 56K users)

(big pain for 56K users)The fact it is collapsed will not stop this happening - that would require a proper option to turn off the display of the first post on every page.

Paul M this worked perfect on 3.x series :)
LiveWire share the codes if you are sure of a working solution.. we might get the stuff implemented asap.

Template Code: postbit or w/e

<table class="tborder" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="1" border="0" width="100%" align="center">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td class="tcat" colspan="2">
<a style="float:$stylevar[right]" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('groupbit_$post[postid]')"><img id="collapseimg_groupbit_$post[postid]" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_tcat{$collapseimg_groupid}.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a></div>
Test
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
<tbody id="collapseobj_groupbit_$post[postid]" style="$collapseobj_groupid">
<tr>
<td class="alt1">Test</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>

Hook Location : postbit_display_complete

// collapse/expand fields in a group
global $vbcollapse;

$groupid = $post['postid'];
$collapseobj_groupid =& $vbcollapse["collapseobj_groupbit_$groupid"];
$collapseimg_groupid =& $vbcollapse["collapseimg_groupbit_$groupid"];
$show['collapsebutton'] = true;

What Paul means is that having it collapsable doesn't make the page load any faster - The code within the collapsed area is still loaded every time you view the page as it has to be readily available should you choose to expand it once more ;)

Therefore having it collapsable is merely a space-saving advantage :)

We are designing a new Style to use for when we move to vB 3.6 and we will keep your advise in consideration. I don't feel that we should spend much more energy in fixing something like this now in the current style.

Hi Marco,
Thanks for consideration and addition of the feature back :), you can close the thread now.

well looks like, this again got broke in IE 6.0+ (wont work)
Wont work in firefox at all, this really needs to be working, there is lot of additional code (modification details) which gets added up to top of threads.

Please consider implementation.

Actually, as far as I can see it was never fixed - it should work now.
