This product is very flexible. You are able to choose which stats to show, disable some details to save page space, optionally show data from last X days only, make several other functionality/make-up customizations... See screenshots.

You can have Main Stats box shown on several pages...
It's shown by default on forumhome (to disable it set "Main Top Stats box on ForumHome" to "Disable")
To activate another location:
a) put location-name in "Stats on Custom Pages" field in hack settings
Explanation: When you open some vBulletin php file you'll see this at the top - "define('THIS_SCRIPT', 'XXX');"
XXX is location-name we need. It's usually the same as php filename (without extension, of course)
Note: When setting several locations then separate location-names by commas
b) add "$cybtopstats" to the template called on page where you wish to have stats shown

Notes:
-To set options go to: vBulletin Options > Cyb - Advanced Forum Statistics
-"Top Thanked" works only with Abe1's "Post Thank You" hack. Don't enable if you have not this hack installed.
-To move Top Stats box somewhere else on forumhome: 1.-Set placement setting to "None" 2.-Add "index" to "Stats on Custom Pages" setting 3.-Add "$cybtopstats" wherever you wish in FORUMHOME template.
-If Top Stats box is too big because of long usernames or thread/forum titles be noted that you can trim them in ACP options.
-When forum/thread titles or usernames are trimmed, mouse-over will show you full version.

Installation:
1. Required:
Import XML file (as product) through AdminCP: Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

2. Optional - if you use custom styles and stats are not shown:
Open FORUMHOME template and add "$cybtopstats" where you wish Stats box to appear

3. Optional - if you use custom styles and link to re-enable stats is not shown:
Open desired template and add "$cybts_enablelink" where you wish "Enable Top Statistics" link to appear

Read NOTES,

1.-Disable plug-in "Cyb - Advanced Top Stats - SR"

Thanks, anyone not knowing anything about coding it may be difficult for them to work out.

The actual plugin that has to be disabled is:
1.- Cyb - Advanced Forumhome Statistics - SR

Then to place at the bottom of the std forum stats find.

</table>
<br />
<!-- end what's going on box -->
and put $cybtopstats above this.

here is a Preview.

Nice job on your hacks, Cybernetec. I've already installed 3 of them (Forum Stats, Sub-Forum Arranger and Forum Rules) and they're working nicely. I especially like how you sort the templates; under one roof which makes editing a snap.

Thank you. Keep up the great work. :) *Clicked Install for all 3 hacks*

To Cybernetec,

I had to thank you codewriter geniuses for all the fantastic upgrades you have made available to the vBuletin community.
I just purchased my first VBulletin license and have been adding some of your plug-ins before i launch my new site.

Thanks to Marco -by the way - for fixing my domain issue...lol

The forum statistics box has appeared at both the top of my forum home page, but also at the bottom. How do i remove the redundancy at the bottom of the page?

Thanks again... oh yee Gods of html.

Best wishes.

This is one of the most awesome hacks ever! Have it running over at my site (http://www.prophecy.co.za/forums) and it REALLY makes my job SOO much easier. And the included forum name in the latest post section, is very valuable. Keeps my staff our of trouble replying to threads they're not supposed to :D

awesome - thank you!!

I know you're a busy person, but I was wondering if you could possibly help me with a bit of customizing this for our forum setup. I tried to alter it to fit in as I needed it, but the Forum Leaders & Mark Forums Read line fell out of being in a footer bar when I added it into the "What's Going On?" section, and I wanted to remove the header from it as well so it blends in with being part of that section.

Their is a problem with this for users using VBAdvanced cmps, and have changed the index page to cmps_index.php.

when you click to view more than 10 results, it does not work, as the main index details are wrong.

can you please add in an edit so users can enter in their own index.php details

the old setup was working ok.

You can remove items displayed to make it not stretch, or edit the table/td widths in the template.

td nowrap will also force the table to stretch rather than wrap the text so that can be removed as well but will result in text wrapping, which may not look good at all.

Isn't there some other way? I only have this problem in one style (so far), and I don't even know which template specifically is the problem. Forum is Here (http://www.seregon.net), skin is called Peachblossom. Every other skin looks fine. Ideas? I do NOT want to take anything out, since I've already done that to get it to fit everything else.

I had leave many of the stats off so it would fit... :(

Stacking them would work very nice I think.

I would also like to be able to have a place to excude certain UserGroups from the Top Poster/Top Reputation lists....

But that is all being picky.

It would be great to have an option to count top posters only in last XX days (or since the begining). Ranks of top posters of all times almost never change.

The same with most popular threads. Instead (or in addition to) top viewed threads it would be good to have most posted threads in XX days or since the begining.

It would be great to know how to copy/paste the php code from this to an external php file then call the vBulletin global file and have it execute on a site.

I was able to do it with TopXStats back in 3.5.4 because it came as a separate php file and it was easy to copy/paste the code.

Not the case here. :(

I tried pasting the code from the 'main' plugin but that didn't work.

This is a great hack and when I first saw it I was really eager to replace Top X Stats with it. Unfortunately, I will not be using this hack for one reason:
- Unlike Top X Stats, I cannot insert these stats wherever I would like. I have several different styles and I don't even want it on each style. For the styles I do want it on, I want it in different places.

This seems like too big a thing to ask, but is there any chance that you could change this hack a bit so it is added to a style using $advancedstats or something like that instead of it being done automatically? I'd really like to switch from Top X to this, but right now I can't.

You can do that yourself, go to edit your templates, select Cybernetc's templates.

You will see cyb_topstats_newposts template and cyb_topstats_stats template.

Copy/paste the contents of cyb_topstats_newposts into the cyb_topstats_stats template and it should work (repeat, should).

You will need to edit the template and add table tags around it and set up the columns properly but yeah, should be easy to do.

Anyone with this mod needs to update to the latest version (3.5) as some little snot nose 15 year old script kiddie from Turkey used the flaw to annoy our members for a little while.

Today, we have had several support tickets in regards to defaced vBulletin forums. Upon investigation of the weblogs, we've determined that a vulnerability exists in FlashChat v4.5.7 (at least) that is being exploited. It appears that a securityfocus exploit was published for this on June 16.

Any customers that have FlashChat installed on their servers should verify that their copy is secure by contacting the vendor.

In addition to FlashChat, many sites running the TopXStats plugin have also been hacked today. If you are running either of these plugins you should disable and remove them immediately.

that wouldn't be talking about this hack would it?

im uninstalling for now, please answer and provide a possible fix if it is.

I don't know if the creator is aware, but there is a 'bad' hack being abused in this system. I've uninstalled, not because I don't like the hack but because when used it leaves it open to abuse by hackers for url redirection.

More information (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=199048)

I hadn't realised others had reported it too... :)

CyB, although the specifics may pertain to Xstats - the hack being used by some snotty script kiddie is having an affect on this hack that you've written. Honestly - I know I had your hack installed, and I know my site got snotted on while using it, which I don't hold you responsible for in any manner... But, it is equally affected by this hack.

karlm,

Yes, this hack has that bug too. I have fixed it immediately when NeutralizeR reported issue (v3.5 - Aug 30. 2006.). I have sent update info to users who have installed plugin too.

btw that's why it's important that users click "install" when using some hack.

So I'm not blaming another hack/coder for this. I'm just saying that this hack was fixed few days before Staff posted announcement about vulnerabilities (Sep 2nd 2006.). Small number of sites with Cyb Stats installed could be "hacked" except they didn't installed hack here and didn't received info about it's updates.

topXstats has been fixed, so I'm not sure what relevance your continual digs at it being "unsupported" have, or are trying to achieve.
I didn't know it's fixed. Thanks for the info.

I said it's unsupported because there was no any updates for a while.

Sorry I haven't been around I don't really do anything plugin wise anymore.

karlm,

Yes, this hack has that bug too. I have fixed it immediately when NeutralizeR reported issue (v3.5 - Aug 30. 2006.). I have sent update info to users who have installed plugin too.

I have to give props Cybernetec, as I did recieve the E-mail regarding the security update Friday evening...I put it on the "to do" list for the weekend (usually Sunday is when I have time for general maintenance), and I got hit Saturday afternoon.

I think what Cybernetec was trying to say is that he was doing his best to keep his version of forum stats up-to-date with the security issue. I got notified by E-mail by Cybernetec on Friday , and I didn't act on it immediately. That was nobody's fault except my own.

I'm still using it (now that I upgraded it) and enjoying the it, in addition that it was a real easy install & upgrade.

LOL!...I just had another script kiddie from turkey (all these lamers using that code have been from Turkey), try an attempt it while writing this very post, and even though I installed some additional code to prevent any variations, this hack now upgraded has no problem. https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/external/2011/01/19.gif

I can't believe these little idiots are still attempting it...I would be to embarrased in the first place to use that script kiddie code (I doubt they even know what meta refresh even is), but then to give out their name and websites in the post and redirect on top??...but hey, I guess even lamers have no standards. ;)

The only thing I would have suggested Cybernetec, is I think I would have chosen something a little more dramatic than "small" security bug fixed. ;)

Same problem here. I disabled the hack in two places (vBulletinOptions and Manage Products) before I edited the FORUMHOME template. After the edit I enabled the hack in both places and have two boxes still, one where I want it (At the bottom of the 'what's going on' box) and one where it was to begin with (above the 'what's going on' box).

there is a big vulnerability in this modification....my site was just hacked....THREE times.

this allows someone to place a code of script in the title of a post and it redirected my page...

even though there is this line of the fix:
v2.8 - Jul 08. 2006.
-Security bug fixed where some codes can be executed on site if entered as thread title. Upgrade

still didn't work. I ran the upgraded version since saturday, and today (tuesday), my site was hacked again. I disabled the hack, and the redirect went away, so I know it was related to this one.

Any fixes for this?

TorGa3iGhT,

By info you have sent me via PMs you have no latest version of this hack installed.

Please be sure to check ALLOW OVERWRITE option when upgrading hacks on your forums.

If you are unsure how to do this you can create temp admin account for me and I'll do it for you.

So for all those who are not sure is it safe to use this hack, just check twice you have the latest version installed and no worry.

I haven't had anymore problems since I upgraded, and I've had multiple attempts each day since.

I do know for a fact that they are varying the original meta refresh script that they intially used.

Like I said the updated version works fine, but if it will help here is an extra little step I added.

Go to vBulletin Options --> Censorship Options --> Censored Words and add these to your list of censored words.

content=0 content="0 LANGUAGE= JavaScript {meta} refresh >> >>> >>>> >>>>> >>>>>> {http-equiv} "Refresh" """"

There is no need for the above listed words and or characters to be used in a discussion on a vB board, unless it's a computer related board discussing code.

Also, something to think about is that a lot of people have "test" forums on their servers to try out new hacks and upgrades before installing them on their "live" board. Please remember that if you installed Cyb-Advanced Stats, TopXStats or FlashChat on your test board and they are still on there and/or unpatched then you are still at risk, especially with FlashChat as they are gaining directory access through holes before version 4.6.2.

If you have been hit with these exploits (and you are able to log into your AdminCP)...go to vBulletin Options ---> Plugin/Hook System--->Enable Plugin/Hook System=NO and either upgrade or try the suggestion I have listed above.

Hope this helps. :)

I just got hit today with this same type of attack. I was running 3.0 still, updated the hack to 3.5..made all of the other changes noted on vB.org for this sort of attack.

Believe it or not, that kid from Turkey today tried to play his childish games on my forums too. Of course, he had no luck. I have installed 3.5 version of this product. 06 Sep 2006, 01:53
Just FYI for folks upgrading (a great idea to do that BTW)...but there are template changes in the 3.5 update...maybe before that as well. So if your block looks wacky after updating, check your templates...revert them to the default and start over with your custom mods if need be.

Fixed my problems right up.

Yes, I tried all of them (3) BUT there was no new registrations and posts for me to see what's the problem. :p I see now - in those situations text wil be black = unvisible, except it's selected.

I don't know,... text color can't be changed in styles,... so my suggestion is to try some variations with new/old colors until you find some combination which would be fine for all styles. :)

i think there is a bug, i've checked that an other sites (also on G_Man's board), which have installed the 3.6 release.

I you have board-ids exlcluded in the properties of the cyb stats, you got a ssql error, if you try to call the search.php?f=1000 (if the id is not available normaly you should redirect to the default search form, but with mod enabled you got an error)

Reason for this is a "," after all board-ids in the sqlquery.
I think it can help, to add in line 107:

106: $exclforums = substr($exclforums, 1);
107: $exclforums = substr($exclforums, 0, strlen($exclforums)-1);

Or do you have another idea?

There's a small bug, if you visit a link to a forum that no longer exists, you get a DB error. When I disable this product, it works fine giving me the "Invalid link....notify admin...etc" message.

I only noticed when I kept getting db error e-mails.

Is there a way to block certain users from comming up as top posters and to block there latest threads. Some of the RSS feeds go to certain "user" names and they can dominate the latest and top posters.

PLEASE UPGRADE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!

Explanation: Script was changed to make stats available on any page, not only on forumhome. Now it's hard to make some function working properly. Exactly it's "automatic exclude private and no permissions to view forums from stats".

Well I did the upgrade, not working right. Before it was fine.

With the upgrade, it still works great on my forum home page, but when I click on the link to take me to the page it used to generate with more options, I get the additional options (w/o the input box and pull down menu) on the same forum home page. The URL is still , http://www.glamour1.com/forums/?do=cybstats but it's the forum home page, used to be a separate page with only Cybstats on it.

Any ideas on how to get it back to show that separate page w/o the main forum home? Thanks, rg sends!

v3.9 - Sep 16. 2006.
-Fixed another bug (poll)
EXPLANATION: Previous bugs and this bug was result of changing main script hook location (to make Stats available on any page, not only forumhome). Easy way to completely solve this problem will result with losing function of hiding automaticaly threads from private/no-permission to view forums in Stats. I don't wish to lose this and I'm sure you don't wish to lose it too. So please be patient and report any other issue produced by this hack. I'll fix it asap.

If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

v4.0 - Sep 18. 2006.
-To completely solve several problems experienced with versions 3.7 - 3.9 I'v changed some things here:
1. You can have stats shown on maximum 2 pages (who needs more?)
2. Stats are shown by default on forumhome (to disable it set "Top Stats Box Position" to "None").
3. To activate second location:
a) type location-name in "Additional Location" field
Explanation: When you open some vBulletin php file you'll see this at the top - "define('THIS_SCRIPT', 'XXX');".
XXX is location-name we need. It's usually the same as php filename (without extension, of course).
b) add "$cybtopstats" to the template called on page where you wish to have stats shown.

I just updated this plugin today, but it appears to not work with vS-Hide Hack Resurrection (Expanded Edition) any more. Per the instructions:

Open plugin "cyb" at "forumhome_complete" hook, and find:
$get_stats_thanks = $db->query_read("
SELECT userid, usergroupid, IF(displaygroupid=0, usergroupid, displaygroupid) AS displaygroupid, username, posts, post_thanks_thanked_times
FROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "user
ORDER BY post_thanks_thanked_times DESC LIMIT 0, $resultsnr");

Replace with:
$get_stats_thanks = $db->query_read("
SELECT user.userid, user.username, user.usergroupid, IF(user.displaygroupid = 0, user.usergroupid, user.displaygroupid) AS displaygroupid, user.posts,
count(thanks.postid) as post_thanks_thanked_times
FROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "thanks as thanks
LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PREFIX ."post as post ON (post.postid = thanks.postid)
LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PREFIX ."user as user ON (post.userid = user.userid)
GROUP BY user.userid
ORDER BY post_thanks_thanked_times DESC LIMIT " . $resultsnr . "
");

I don't see "cyb" at "forumhome_complete" hook anymore? Any suggestions?

I overwrote the top stats xml with the updated version, and now my forum is almost inoperable. I have disabled all plugins to no avail.

The Administrator can post and read threads, but when a member or moderator tries to view a thread/post or tries to post, they get this error message.

There seems to have been a problem with the ONP database.
Please try again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, whom you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

It seems strange that the error is not effecting the Administration account, but everyone else.

Any advice as to how I might correct this? My forum is now useless.
Forum was working fine before the xml overwrite -so it must be related.

Hi, I asked for help about the Top Thread Starters, and I'm using MySQL 4.1.21.

EDIT: I actually just installed the new 4.1. It updated the numbers, so I'll have to wait 24 hours and see if it fixed the problem. I'll let you know. Thanks

Exclusion of UserGroups from all the TOP Places would be VERY nice I think.

Might be easier to create additional "modules" for those so you could have week/month/since registration or just the one's you want....

I tried twice. I tried rebuilding, the column shows zero still. Everything else is perfect.

I just read that mysql 4.04 is required for top threads. I am using 4.0.23.
Anything you can do for me, please?

Upgrade MySQL or leave this part turned off. There is no 3rd solution.

Can somebody tell me why this is happening?

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=54049&stc=1&d=1159459747The NOWRAP attribute I guess...

Cybernetec, would it be possible to set the text length manually, ie display the 30, 40 first characters or more of the thread/post/annnouce title?

Thx ;)

Works great, had to adjust what i delected so it would fit the forum, but other than that, all good.

Not sure if it has been said or not, but can we have an option to select what gets shown on the forumhome and on the seperate page?

Urgent! I've just installed this hack and when I see the forum through the index.php to have my navbar and stats available, all my forums collapsed:
For example http://valhalla.ulver.com/index.php?f=157

When I disable this hack, everything is ok. Please, fix it asap.

Hi,

is it possible to get a fix for this issue?
I've the same problem at my board

Thx in advance

Cheers
Mike

switched from topxstats since this is updated and supported more but Cybernetec can you clean the code up to make it Valid XHTML most of it is with images not being closed.

find

$newpostprefix = '<img border="0" alt="'.$vbphrase['new'].'" src="'.$vbulletin->options['cybtopstats_prefix_new'].'">';
$oldpostprefix = '<img border="0" alt="'.$vbphrase['old'].'" src="'.$vbulletin->options['cybtopstats_prefix_old'].'">';

switch to this

$newpostprefix = '<img border="0" alt="'.$vbphrase['new'].'" src="'.$vbulletin->options['cybtopstats_prefix_new'].'" />';
$oldpostprefix = '<img border="0" alt="'.$vbphrase['old'].'" src="'.$vbulletin->options['cybtopstats_prefix_old'].'" />';

working on the other ones now

Since upgrading to 3.6.1, & 3.6.2, using version 3.8 of this....everyone bar admin's gets no permission screens when trying to vote on polls or post attachments?

Will the upgrade to 4.1 fix this, or should i just uninstall the whole thing?

Great mod!

Is there anyway to have the dates show "Today" and "Yesterday" just like the rest of the board? I think that would really make the dates pop in the newest posts section. Thanks!

You click on the small triangle to the left of the user name to get to the latest post.

There is also an issue with links/relative links etc...

If you put it on the front page of vBAdvanced CMPS then all the links are wrong ..

Very nice plugin. Installed! Not sure if this has already been answered, but how would one go about making the stats on the forum homepage visible only to members and not guests?

Thanks,
