Hello, I'm running a site I recently came into control of and switched over to vBulletin and recently installed CMPS.

Forum Index: http://forum.panhandlegearheads.com/index.php
CMPS: http://forum.panhandlegearheads.com/cmps_index.php

I'm trying to get a link on the Navbar that allows a user to click on "Forum Index," which takes them to the main traditional forum listing page, as well as a corresponding "Home" link that takes them to the CMPS page.

If you guys don't follow what I'm saying, check out www.mazdas247.com. When you go there, it takes you to their version of CMPS. Clicking on the "Forum Index" takes one to the actual forum listing.

I'm going to admit I'm new to Administering a forum, so help would be much appreciated!

add this to your navbar template accordingly...

if you want to limit the links to members only...

<if condition="$show['member']">
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="index.php$session[sessionurl_q]">Forums Index</a></td>
</if>
<if condition="$show['member']">
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="cmps_index.php$session[sessionurl_q]">Home</a></td>
</if>

if you want the links for everyone...

<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="index.php$session[sessionurl_q]">Forums Index</a></td>
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="cmps_index.php$session[sessionurl_q]">Home</a></td>

Awesome! Thank you very much.

One last question that may blur things a little.

Currently, the forum.panhandlegearheads.com url points to www.panhandlegearheads.com/forum

I want to move the CMPS page to www.panhandlegearheads.com, and keep the index.php page at www.panhandlegearheads.com/forum, this way, when a user types forum.panhandlegearheads.com, they go directly to the forum index instead of the CMPS page.

The last time I tried moving the CMPS page to the root directory, the navbar broke, as well as the upper right login box.

Also, doing the above will necesitate me to change the above code to the proper URL, correct?

from what i do understand, the CMPS_index.php file has to go into your forum root directory. rather then moving files, i would just change the redirect to point to your /forum directory.

Yep, that fixed it. Thanks!
