View Full Version : Style:Reboot Web 2.0 style

I did originally design this for my design community but then I changed the design, I spent quite a bit of money getting this coded so didn't want to see it go to waste so thought I would be generous and make it available for download.

Style:Reboot web 2.0 style - ScreenShot (http://www.stylereboot.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=25&catid=5)

Installation instructions are included in the 'Readme Please' file.

Update (25/03/07) - Sorry I haven't replied sooner, didn't expect such a great response. I designed this in fireworks so the original image is a PNG and not a PSD, I have attached both (included a converted PSD) for those who wish to use it.

I love it. There are only three little probloms: On the Age field it doesn't show up your age. On the forum home page it doesn't show up the pictures for that show you the symbols for the Forum Contains... but when I click on a catogory it shows up. The last one is that it doesn't show up Mark Forums Read and View Forum Leaders.

Other then that, the skin is great. I love it.

for shout box u have to add "$navbar" in the forumhome templet below "$header"

and for admin cp and other u have to add these codes given below

i have installed this skin and done some changes and its works great,

1. images are stored in a folder called SR so its just a case of adding other mod images to this folder ;)

2. the urls are replaced via the templates does not take to long to change

3. i am running it on vb 3.6.5 with no issues at all

hope this answers your questions if not then the author might be able to help

guys there isn't logout button... anyone knows how to add it in the place of "register"?? Thanks alot..

You can try this however I am no coder so back up your templates!!!! And I have not tried this on my board as I am at work and just using backup files to pull the code, I will try and create it when I get home but in the mean time you can try it your self ;)

The code below will create a logout link in text format. It will display the word log out followed by the username so if your username was “Sam” it would say:

Log Out Sam

<if condition="!$show['guest']"><a href="login.php?$session[sessionurl]do=logout&amp;logouthash=$bbuserinfo[logouthash]" onclick="return log_out()"><phrase 1="$bbuserinfo[username]">$vbphrase[log_out_x]</phrase></a> -</if>

Now looking at the Reg button this is the required code:

<if condition="$show['guest']"><a href="http://www.yourdomain.com/forum/register.php?do=signup" target="_self"><img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/forum/images/sr/misc/reg.gif" alt="Register" width="71" height="22" border="0" align="middle"></a> </if>

(Remember the url and image source links have been changed to post on a public site ;) )

So what I would think you would need to do would be this:

<if condition="!$show['guest']"><a href="login.php?$session[sessionurl]do=logout&amp;logouthash=$bbuserinfo[logouthash]" onclick="return log_out()"><img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/forum/images/sr/misc/logout.gif" alt="Log Out" width="71" height="22" border="0" align="middle"></a> -</if>

Remember to change the urls in the above example to fit your site and you will need to create a log out button. Like I say I have NOT tested this so I am not sure if it will work or cause errors but this is what I would do, when I get home tonight from work I will try and create it and once working will provide better instructions plus where to install it good luck and let me know how you get on ;)

i am currently at work so dont have full access to my admin panel but you could try this: remember i am not a coder so make sure you back up and if i have it wrong then sorry but just trying to help as this is what i did ;)

in the footer template you need to add the following code:

<if condition="$show['quickchooser']">
<td class="tfoot">
<select name="styleid" onchange="switch_id(this, 'style')">
<optgroup label="$vbphrase[quick_style_chooser]">
$quickchooserbits
</optgroup>
</select>
</td>
</if>

some where underneath:

<form action="$vboptions[forumhome].php" method="get">

<table cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" class="page" align="center">
<tr>

depends what else you have added to the footer mine has had many changes made so the above location might not be the same for your site but if you backup and then post the first code sample you should be able to work out the correct place to put the code ;)

o and remember to switch the option on in the options settings i forgot to do this at first and pulled out a few hairs as to why it was not working lol :rolleyes:

This is an awesome style after customizing it to the way you like. It just takes some time to figure out.

Here is mine, after all customized:

And I did all that WITHOUT the psd/png files (I set mine up before he released those files).

You would modify the header in the header template.
What are you trying to edit?
I can point you in the right direction.

I hope so too.
I am using this on the board I am admin on. But the owner has updated to 3.7.0 Beta 4. Now the skin doesn't support all the features of the board and it also malfunctions on some parts. I really hope you will update this skin to 3.7.0 so I can satisfy my members, who are using this skin a lot (and of course myself).
