nice release, this should work if someone upload the pictures lets say in /home/forum/images/

11 Dec 2008, 04:10
yup, doesn't matter where you upload the cursor. It work as long as the url is correct. I'm gonna upload a cursor pack, like tomorrow like maybe 20 cursors.

11 Dec 2008, 05:34
Okay, added a simple set that you can download in the "cursors.zip"

I uploaded a cursor to my website and added the links as you said. However the cursor does show up but is in the wrong place the cursor actually is and its not animated but its suppose to be. Any idea's on what I might be doing wrong?

01 Jan 2009, 18:22
What cursor did you pick? Can you post your website so I can see. Maybe I uploaded the wrong cursor, or maybe it's not animated.

02 Jan 2009, 01:55
I used the attached cursor, I would post my site but i removed the code because you cant work with the cursor at all.

Basically this is what it would look like:

actual cursor: ---

Where the image actually is: ---

its that far down and that far to the right. So with that code and the image i would have to move the image down and to the right to actually click on anything.

Any idea on how to fix my issue that i posted above?

08 Jan 2009, 02:53
Sorry I don't see the image. I see the attach file I don't see your explanation. You can see the cursor on my website right? If you can see it there, it should work. I tested the codes on my forum as well and it works.

PM me your board URL if you don't want it publicly and I can see what you did.

these images produce no cursor
Hey sorry it took so long to reply, my internet was dead for a whole month.

That's an ani file. Ani files only work on IE. See if the cursor loads on IE. If you use a .cur file it should work on all browsers except opera.

it suddenly made my whole screen go black.
*Clicks Uninstall*

Not sure why it would do that. Because cursors are wc3 standards. http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/ui.html#cursor-props It's a css html code, so it shouldn't do anything to your screen. Also you said you use your own, did you convert it correctly? Was the cursor done right etc...

However nothing like that should happen.

do members get to choose there own cursor? or is this to change the default cursor of your O/S or just for vb. not enough info...please clarify. if users can choose there own cursor, where do they do that? User CP?

30 Sep 2009, 20:47
Just the cursor size. Usually under 3 kb.

i tried, but failed..can anyone clearly explain to me ?

Was it animated by any chance? I'm in the process of making animated cursors on firefox (but won't animate). Might be a few weeks though. What did you get stuck on?

It's forum wide. Users can't choose. I will do that for the next version.

04 Apr 2010, 21:14
This would be great if the user could use their own cursor!

Any chance that we could get some usergroup or per-member selection options?

I noticed that the 'next version' was being planned since last September. Anyone have a new version with that option?
