Here is my first attempt at a style. Made from the default template but unique in it's own right. Let me know if you have any problems with it but should be a no brainer for installation. Just upload header gradient PNG (testbg.png is the name), upload the style VIA the admincp, edit the path to your logo image, and your done. Please click install and rate it as it will help me produce a better product next time, thanks!

I will give support for whoever needs it.

Demo of it can be found here: http://3onthebay.com/forums/

I updated the header background image, looks better now.

EDIT: 12/13/2009 - Updated style once more for a cleaner look.

Editing the header so you can insert your own logo. Open your header template and find:
<a name="top" href="{vb:raw vboptions.forumhome}.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}" class="logo-image"><img src="http://www.3onthebay.com/forums/images/misc/3logo.png" alt="{vb:rawphrase x_powered_by_vbulletin, {vb:raw vboptions.bbtitle}}" /></a>

Change this part of the code to reflect the location of your logo image:
<img src="http://www.3onthebay.com/forums/images/misc/3logo.png"

Upload the gradient image into your forums/images/misc/ and it should work.

For the forum icon legend images you will need to edit the image paths. Open up your forumhome template and find:
<div><center><b>Forum Icon Legend<br><img src="/forums/images/statusicon/forum_new-48.png" alt="New Posts" align="center"/>New Posts &nbsp; <img src="/forums/images/statusicon/forum_old-48.png" alt="No New Posts" align="center"/>No New Posts &nbsp;<img src="/forums/images/statusicon/forum_old_lock-48.png" alt="Locked" align="center"/>Forum Locked</b></center></div>
Edit each one of the image paths to reflect your own icon images.

My apologies for the instructions being so vague, first release so still learning.

What kind of screenshot is that?

That's not a screen shot of it, that's the gradient needed for the header image. The demo of it can be seen here: http://3onthebay.com/forums/

Yer' Welcome! I added where to upload the image file to as well so that fix the header gradient problem.

Most certainly it does. Got a screen cap of what you're seeing?

This is a very nice skin - thankyou.

Just a couple of comments:
- the search in the navbar disappears on vb RC2
- will this be updated for v4 Gold

Can I get a fixed version of this?

No bugs?

Any branding fees?

This is really nice and clean (except for the tan just in my opinion) but I am having a hell of a time using it with v4 GOLD suite - it doesn't work

Nice comment, then I have to be careful before falling into it :)

Some comments I can make are:
- remove the extra blank line that you have added in the footer template - this is the only difference in this template from default so there is no need to force a change to the footer template
- Open the XML file after you export it and make the changes that you have said need to be done. Make the changes point to the default header logo not yours on your web site. Also change the status icons code to point to the defined style images/statusicon folder.

Hope this helps!

How can I move the "welcome" bar up to the top left of the header image area? This is the bar that says Welcome user - Notifications - Profile, etc.

Hi- the current style I am using has the "welcome" bar text along side the buttons in the nav bar. I want to move them up top like the default style show.

The attached screenshot shows in red where my welcome bar currently is. I want to move it to the top right.

I'm still not sure what to do about our custom header with this style...

But if that goes, we'll give Blue-Tan a shot.

Thanks,
O. C.

Hello everyone, sorry for the extremely long "break". My business has taken up most of my time for a while now. Anyways, I'm going to start working on this style again to bring it up to snuff for 4.0.6. Will update once done, thanks!

Hi, is it possible to change the color of the title "Latest Blog Entries" of the box placed in the sidebar? I think that white is better, what do you think?
