You may download the latest version of AWS, v. 3.1.8.

This version includes a new feature, which allows you to remove user priviledges according to the warning points he has. As a start, you may define the number of points, after which a member's signature will not be shown, or his avatar will not be shown.

Other features will probably be added, as time allows me.

1. The ALTER table commands from the update instructions does not work
2. Is the new feature a must or can we turn it off cause I like to warn my members but don't want to limit their rights

What you mean it doesnot work?

No, you can turn it off, from the Warning Options. If you set the corresponding numbers to zero, the feature is deactivated.

Let me know what's the problem with the Alter table command.

Never mind, I found it, I forgot to alter the table.!! LOL Changing the instructions now.

What he means is that it says
An error occurred while attempting to execute your query. The following information was returned.
error number: 1103
error desc: Incorrect table name '".TABLE_PREFIX."warning_options' when I try to execute
UPDATE `".TABLE_PREFIX."warning_options` SET version='3.1.8' WHERE oid='1' The UPDATE command returns with error 1103.

Please help! I wanna get this fixed before I open up the boards again from the update to 3.0.7. :smoke:

And I tried it twice---both times they give me that error. Does that mess up the board??? :nervous:

Are you using a table prefix? If not, you should erase the part ".TABLE_PREFIX".

table prefix as in something like vb3_warnoptions? Then yes I'm using a table prefix. It's vb3.

EDIT: Nevermind I got it. But it was through like 4-5 times of unsuccessful. It seems that I forgot to put vb3 in front! :rolleyes:

I found one bug in the instructions though.
In the instructions it should say
Edit file showthread.php and find:

$hierarchical=$warn_opts['hierarchical'];
$viewoption=$warn_opts['viewoption'];
$buttons=$warn_opts['textbutoption'];

Below that, add:
$sigthress=$warn_opts['sig_thresshold'];
$avatarthress=$warn_opts['avatar_thresshold']; instead of
Edit file showthread.php and find:

$hierarchical=$warn_opts['hierarchical'];
$viewoption=$warn_opts['viewoption'];
$buttons=$warn_opts['textbutoption'];

Below that, add:

$sigthress=$warn_opt

s['sig_thresshold'];
$avatarthress=$warn_opts['avatar_thresshold'];
Unsuccessfully executing shouldn't affect the boards in a negative way right? :nervous:

You know, you really had me puzzled with that. I couldn't figure out how on earth those carriage returns were entered there. Then I figured out, the twins were in the room alone, at some time, while the editor was on with that file.!!!!

Sorry abnout that.
