I also used modulus division a while back but this is the first time I've ever needed XOR. :)

And guess what I used it in? *smug look* http://www.vbulletintemplates.com/mo...?threadid=3347

I've read about that xor thing but I never really understood it :o

filburt1 08 Mar 2003 17:54

(a xor b) means "a or b, but not both"

N9ne 08 Mar 2003 18:05

Ohhh. I have no use for it.

:D.

How about passing by reference with the ampersand symbol.. how often do you guys use it (more commonly used in functions)?

filburt1 09 Mar 2003 17:22

I've used it every now and then. Not often, though.

I learnt about that funnily enough an our ago. I hate using variables now :(

That's a major problem if you want to code ;)

Couldn't (a xor b) be translated to ((a or b) and (!a or !b)) ?

filburt1 11 Mar 2003 02:56

That's the point of using xor though :p

Erwin 11 Mar 2003 02:57

I used it just the other day talking to my wife...

"You can buy a dress xor a skirt."

:)
