I installed the Spam-O-Matic 2.0 and it prevented all new posting on my forum. Had to disable it.
Where can I find the v.1 I had before?

You need to tweak the settings

VBUsers 19 Oct 2011 04:15

works great so far. Any way we can label spammers other than just posts ?

Megaboost 19 Oct 2011 13:40

This has to be the most needed mod in the history of vBulletin... Just Awesome and saves me lots of precious time. Many Many Thanks to the developer and a donation in way of thanks is on its way after this post.

Works 100% with askimet on my vb4.1.7

Keep up the Fantastic work.

Added this mod, however, how can I view statistics privately. I do not care to show off to my members the statistics of Spam-o-matic however would love to have them available to just myself and my admins.

You can view the details through your Admincp under Statistics & Logs/GlowHost - Spam-O-Matic logs

No members should be able to view through your admincp unless you have given them admin access permissions.

Is there a way to limit this mod to only administrators?

popular 22 Oct 2011 00:28

Just wanted to clarify further what I meant. I only want administrators to be able to use the User Action Function where you can either Ban/Remove Users including threads, posts, pms, etc. Is it possible to do this? Is there no way to set which MODs I want to have this function available for?

Megaboost 22 Oct 2011 01:04

If you are worried about your members adding other members to the list then make sure you protect the members groups from within the glowhost settings.

Since I've Installed it and signed up to both akismet.com and StopForumSpam.com It's caught every bad registration so far so I would definately recommend you sign up for both Keys and then enter them into your glowhost settings.

I feel uncomfortable giving all mods the ability to physically delete posts/threads/pms with just one click. So there isn't a way to set this to Admin use only?

Great mod you got here..

Thank you for sharing

I'm getting Visitor message spam now. Can I request that be added to the next version?

Yes but that gives me all the detailed info. I would have to go through it manually and count up each one for a summary. If I turn it on, It will publish the stats to my Board Statistics section that is open for public view but I don't want to advertise how many I have stopped to the public, just to my self.

I guess I can just manually count it, just dont understand why there is only a public summary page and not a summary page in the admin center.
