Looks like you have missed uploading this file into includes, see this post

Ha. I'm stupid..I uploaded the 'includes' folder in the 'uploads' folder.

Thanks! All works fine now!

Great plugin! The only issue is that it causes the registration process to break when the StopForumSpam API goes down. Would it be possible for you to wrap the API checks in conditionals and allow the registration to proceed when it's unavailable?

There is a setting for that. See "StopForumSpam: Query Connection Errors "

In that case, I'd like to report this as a bug. We have QueryConnection Errors set to "Allow Registration". When the API last went down (timing out due to overloading), the registration was not allowed through.

You can check your log and see what it says next to the user who had the problem. I haven't heard about this problem on any other boards yet and my logs show them passing when it times out.

Disregard figured out my problem

I went back to our logs from the last outage. We had 100+ users rejected during the downtime with the same message:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

If this is an uncommon issue (I've only seen one downtime since I started using it), then I'll live with it. A really nice safety feature would be an email notification when the API stops responding.

i gotta ask why that again i have installed this pugin to a brand new 4.1.6 vbulletin instantly i had troubles ??

Is the download link flawed ............ am i doing something wrong twice ??

Once this plugin is in the site it becomes unusable ?

uploading product-spamomatic.xml as advised on stopforumspam/com

Like last time i had to disable it to use the forum ??

the concept may be great but all i have it problems so far

what's up with all that i wonder

you must be installing the files in the wrong place or missing some in the upload

goroddy 21 Sep 2011 10:11

well the download is on this page and i have been told to upload the 'product_spamomatic.xml at the forum admin in my cms / plugin + Products / add import or product/ then in the browse section and ending by uploading the file below

product-glowhostspamomatic.xml

fldewey 22 Sep 2011 14:22

Installed and working, but I don't have the log option in my admin panel. I have the Spam-O-Matic in my settings >>options but I don't see the log in the Statistics and Logs.

I've searched this thread and I don't see anyone else with this issue. Can something help me find what I've done wrong?

The install seems pretty straight forward but I've obviously missed something.

goroddy 23 Sep 2011 01:04

I re-installed mine and this time i clicked the update option (not that it was required) surprisingly it worked this time

also do a human verification question like:

Please write the word w-e-b-s-i-t-e without the spaces to join this website

That really seemed to work

Bob Meta 24 Sep 2011 00:51

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I really want to get this working! After installing the mod, every time myself or a user tries to post, the following error message appears:

"This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved. (leave page / stay on page)"

Any idea why this may be?
