With vb 4.0.5 and 4.0.6 you had to do:
Admin cp > stylemanger > your theme > style vars > postbit > postbit_content_max_image_width > and set it to a high number for the mod to work.

Now in vb 4.0.8 they removed postbit_content_max_image_width, now you have to edit:

Admin cp > stylemanger > your theme > style vars > common > image_medium_max > and change this to a high value and the mod will work once again.

Hope this helps you guys out.

Am I missing something in the new version? The above isn't valid for 4.1, and the installed hack says to modify the "Image Medium Max" stylevar... but I don't have that stylevar.

If I set it to resize in same window, it doesn't resize anything... it just sits and toggles itself at the same width. The size it reports for the image is also wrong.

It works if I have it use a different window, just not same.

MaemoMeeGo 08 Feb 2011 13:05

Work fine with image attachments with bbcode [img]!!
Fixes bug for comments cms and this addon will be perfect!

How to remove "Image resizer by SevenSkins" line on footer? Is it allowed?

Trumpetrhapsody 17 Feb 2011 17:22

Still would love to be able to resize my signatures independently from other pics on the forum! This is the best resizing hack out there IMO other than that deficiency.

PvPCrew 22 Feb 2011 12:48

I can't find it on AdminCP^^

Look in the footer template, but I don't think you're allowed to remove it.

Internetcafe 12 Mar 2011 14:17

Working fine on 4.1.2 .. very useful addition .. thanks.

giaguaro 12 Mar 2011 14:43

sorry, where can i find in the admin cp the choice to reduce, etc. for the mod? thanks!

EDIT: found.

Now: no errors. Set up at 400. But.. IF it works i cant see any click to enlarge.. :( http://www.jtv.cc/forum/showthread.p...840#post496840

mautofied 16 Mar 2011 19:47

This mod only seems to work on certain threads. It will throw javascript errors saying that the image resizer is not defined, thus causing other javascript on the page not to function properly.

giaguaro 16 Mar 2011 20:18

mine doesnt work at all :(
And no error

F1-Gears 20 Mar 2011 22:45

Not working 100% for me in 4.1.2 too. Does someone knows a solution?

I can use it open the image in a new window, but not in the same of the forum.

Thanks

tarionyx 20 Mar 2011 22:58

No, just uploaded files, and installed the XML. I have it set to open in new window. You can see it working here: www.nyfirearms.com/forums

HMBeaty 24 Mar 2011 23:18

Is there a branding free option for this modification? Or how can I remove the copyright link in the footer on my board? Thank you.

beatyourtruck 26 Mar 2011 03:00

Installed 4.1.2. Works great! 8) Thank you!

rasp187 28 Mar 2011 20:46

Yeah how can I change how this is displayed in the footer?

Ok - found an issue. I see the resize bar in the blogs but not the forum? It resizes the image in the blog per my specs (640 wide) however it resizes it to 600 wide in the forum? The resized forum image is also not clickable.

I know 600 is the same as my "medium" image spec....any correlation there?

I do have the forum and blog selected in vbulletin control panel options.

Freewings2 29 Mar 2011 03:21

I havent tested tis in 4.1.2 yet I will test it soon. But as far as I know it works.

Bajek 03 Apr 2011 17:13

I installed in on vB 4.1.2 and this mod resize images to desire width (800px) but I cannot open it in original size. I try all possibilities (in new window, in the same window, enlarge). Any suggestion?

Dennis B 04 Apr 2011 16:26

This hack is resizing images in the same window in 4.1.2 to image_medium_max only, not their original size. I believe this mitigates the usefulness of this hack, if I must open a new window to display the image in its original size anyway, why not just stick with the default thumbnail system.

Webbstre 16 Apr 2011 01:10

Finally, a resizer that doesn't load a bunch of icons and works on everything, including the CMS. Installed, and thanks for this!

Search for "sevenskins_imageresizer_warning" in phrases and edit it.

woodburyMan 26 Apr 2011 15:50

Awesome product!!!

Is there any way to add on to it or edit it so that you can specify different maxium height/width for different areas? Ex I only want to allow 600x200 for signiture images, where as I would like to allow 1024x768 for user's posts and Private Messages.

Seven Skins 26 Apr 2011 22:08

^ I might include this in the next release of this hack. But there is no set date for it yet.

Hawk7173 28 Apr 2011 22:44

How does one get rid of the advertisement link in the copyright at the footer?

You can set Signature image limits in each Usergroup setting.

Trumpetrhapsody 02 May 2011 15:44

Not for linked images, just uploaded ones. I want this feature as well, VERY BADLY haha.

Sai01 04 May 2011 09:52

where do i change the settings on this? i can't find it in my adminCP.

The Rocketeer 10 May 2011 17:04

nice mod, however I was wondering, if this this a bug.. when the yellow bar is clicked the user is taken on a new tab to display the image instead or the forum itself...

is there any better way to have it display within the forums itself rather then having the user leave the site? And when can we expect a new update, not that we need one since it works fine with the latest vb. Good job guy.

Seven Skins 11 May 2011 18:24

You can select the "default resize mode" in the adminCP.

The Rocketeer 12 May 2011 14:31

works like a charm, love your modifications... many thanks pal :)

threethrees 12 May 2011 16:21

Not only 4.1.3, also 4.1.4, working nice !

TundraSoul 22 May 2011 22:25

Would there be any reason why it would not re-size some images?

I have a few like this which are 499px wide, and my re-size width is 450px. However the script ignores them and doesn't re-size.

Any suggestions?

dai-kun 23 May 2011 06:43

Users that use the in-browser page zoom have trouble with the addon activating on some images since the scaled size triggered the script. How can we make it so that it uses the original image size?

This hack used size in pixels .. and zoon in browser is in % .. hence this will not work with zoomed browser windows.

Defkalion 24 May 2011 22:35

Are there any plans to make this resize also images that are inside CMS comments?

tomoyo23 25 May 2011 16:31

is possible in advanced portal? http://www.vbadvanced.com/ ..greetings

raagaswaram 06 Jun 2011 02:52

I have images which is 1920x1080 but it shows as click this bar to view the original image of 800x 340.Its limiting to this size why so?.where can i edit it?.

ia7 11 Jun 2011 14:58

Make sure when using this that you change the sizes of the image_small/medium/large_max definitions under your Stylevars (search for 'max') otherwise the browser will take over the resizing, but not allow for the viewing of the fullsize images.

I removed the values and units completely and it appears to be working as expected.

Sarteck 17 Jun 2011 21:43

I made a very simple one that used to work like the in-place-enlargement/shrinking this Mod does.... But 4.1.4 borked it. XP I found this a few days ago, and it works great. Easier to modify than my hand-made one, too. XD

/me marks installed.

Seven Skins 19 Jun 2011 16:05

For some reason vBulletin added P tags around the images and this P tag is causing issue with this hack. For now keep your images aligned to left while I try to fix this, if I can.

Sworm 19 Jun 2011 16:46

I hope that you'll able to solve this issue.... this is the best resize for vb 4

I have the same problem, fix please! thanks!

morgano 26 Jun 2011 20:59

If you could show me how to call the Java part and tell it to align: left, center or right I'll be able to code the PHP part to find out if the image is encased in a P tag and to what alignment it's justified and then call the appropriate Java.

Edit "ss_imageresizer" template and change the property like this "color: #ffffff;" this will make the text white.

Works on 4.1.3 for me

Lautaro 02 Jul 2011 05:55

installed, it works well.

my suggestion:
add different image resize values for each forum area - posts, signatures, cms etc.. -

Sworm 02 Jul 2011 07:07

If the text language is translated from english to another language with vbulletin translator, the hack stop to work.

Edit:
after install this mod, i have losed all the cunstomizations of my postbit_legacy'style :S.

Uninstalled, not work if translated from vb or from xml in other languages

Seven Skins 02 Jul 2011 12:19

Should work with 4.1.3. but without yellow bar.

@Lautaro: I am working on JQury image resizer if I am successful it will have the option to choose different sizes for different parts of the forums.

Kaspersku 04 Jul 2011 02:00

It has a serious error, if for two pairs of tag [IMG] [/ IMG] [IMG] [/ IMG] it will happen after the link demo
Why in this 1.4 version does not show up as a traditional 1.3

BadgerDog 05 Jul 2011 16:55

Just for clarity ...

I'm currently running vBulletin 4.1.3 ...

Will the new Version: 1.4 still work for me, or do I have to stay with Version 1.3 of Image Resizer?

Thanks ... :)

Regards,
Doug

Sworm 05 Jul 2011 18:03

If you're with 4.1.3 , the ncode 1.3 is better

MagicThemeParks 09 Jul 2011 18:21

Is there an option to remove or recolor the yellow bar? Against dark skins it shows up too much.

EDIT: Found where to do the edits. Go to the "ss_imageresizer" template and make the changes there.

LifesGreatestGift 10 Jul 2011 18:10

1.4 isn't showing the proper size of full sized image when it has resized it.
