Im not sure if this is still supported, but i have had a ton of user registrations. I changed the security questions & they still get through. I installed this mod and they still get through.
My only way to put a temporary hold on this was to moderate new members.
Can someone help me to find out why this is not stopping registrations?

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Can the Spam-O-Matic - Spam also be used on vBulletin™ Version 5.0.5? I've installed it on test version of my forum but I think because it's a stand-alone environment so the API key doesn't work, I can't find it in the moderation pannel or statistics.

I seriously doubt it would work in vB5, as it is totally different.

Will try it tomorrow to see if it works on vb5 (hope it does)

I know this mod is all about preventing spam from registering, but what about stopping them even getting to your forum? I have hundreds of registration attempts every hour and it's making my forum REALLY slow. How can we stop them even getting to the forum?

On the server level i would set up Fail2Ban. This will ban ips for a time limit you set when they attack certain ports. if the same ip keeps getting banned you can set it to ban them permanently.
