i had your ame xml master file previously.
i imported this as well. i hope that would not compromise the settings.

i was surfing and by chance dropped in this thread.
although i had clicked install on geek's ame installation thread as well as ur previous definition too.
however, didnt get notified for this thread.
may i suggest that all those who click install, get the notification of new definitions as they come.:)

DJ, also i have "DJ's AMEs" & "DJ's Local Host Videos" threads from where i downloaded but am not sure what to do. there are so many xmls files in there.
do i need to import them all? please guide me.

I remember when I first tested the MyVideo definition that I got a lot of commercials only, but my RegEx was off. I'll have to test it again to be sure, but I wouldn't be surprised.


You both needed to delete your existing definitions before importing a new Master XML. Your getting duplicate videos becasue you imported two copies of the same definition.


That would be up to The Geek, as I don't maintain that modification, only the Add-On.


No need to import them all. As I explain in the first post, the Master XML is for those just starting out who want all the sites at once, and the Main ZIP is for those who want to pick and choose. The Local Hosted is for just that, videos hosted locally on your server/site.

and i understand that it is upto geek to notify and that is ok, but i had your other i mean previous addon and didnt know about this latest development:D. so i was actually suggesting that instead of making new thread, why not to update it in the same thread? in that way, whosoever has clicked install would get the notification. but it is just a humble suggestion:)

and one question: when i imported the master xml file, it as usual, asked to check and confirm the different definitions. i noticed that some of them were not checked yes in wrapping instance and some were not checked yes in activity context. i didnt touch it since i didnt know what i am doing, so i imported it as it is. should i be now manually changing them? or can u tell why some were not selected during import? i just want to know if it is a system glitch or something else.

Oh you mean in my other thread? For one, I don't want to remove any screenshots to make room for the additional three files I'll be adding here. For another, if some people are still using an older version of AME, then these definitions won't work for them. And since AME updated to 3.7, it made sense to have a thread in the 3.7 forum. Plus, I think it's confusing enough as it is.

However, I did send an update in that thread about the day I started this thread.


As a general rule, I don't set the music players to wrap. It's just something I do, and it also demonstrates to users what the wrap feature is. Also, there are some definitions that you can only use one or the other, not both. So have one turned off so you don't get conflicts until you decide to choose which. These definitions are noted in the list in the first post.

Yes, they just recently changed code, which I'll update in the next release.

I think there have been changes with yahoo. Somehow videos don' t get embedded.

How i delete ALL old definitions? If i upload the xml. then comes errors.

Admin Panel - > AME CP -> Display definitions -> Mark all definitions for deletion and save.

Edit: I have just noticed that you have also asked the same question in DJ' s 3.6 version thread. This is not a good manner. And it is easy to see that DJ adresses each support request very quickly. There is no need to multipost. Post your question once and wait at least one whole day before you post somewhere else or bump the thread.
