Any ideas yet? Not sure I read the "fix" on here.

I Have the same thing (same on both my forums)

I must reiterate that it is a MAJOR OVERSIGHT that this mod circumvents the moderator permissions to permanently delete ALL threads/posts by a user.

There was a case on my forum where a new mod accidentally removed all of a users posts and I couldn't get them back!

So you place the contents of the uploads>admincp folder into yoursite/admincpfolder or everything contained in the uploads folder into your root directory?

Sorry I am a little fuzzy on the instructions and was getting the same error as the gentlemen earlier.

Let me try to explain it a little better.

- GlowHost_-_Spam-O-Matic_v2.1.0_VB4
+ upload
+ glowhostspamomatic_Deutsch_Sie_1.0.1.xml
+ readme

The upload folder contains the contents that need to go into the forum. The contents contained are and admincp folder and an includes folder. You can do one of two things, but the easiest thing to do is to right click the uploads folder and change it to the name of your forums folder. This folder name can be different for everyone, because most do not name their forum "Forums". Example

- This is the Root Folder for your forums probably named the name of your URL
+ This could be a folder for another section of your forum such as Joomla, etc.
+ Forums "This could be named differently" As I said not everyone uses "Forums"

Let's say that your forum is about cars, then you might name your forum directory cars. That's all up to the individual when they install the forum. Now what you do is change the name of the "upload folder" to cars, but if your forum is "Forums" then you would change the name to forums. Now when you FTP you would drop the upload folder that you changed the name of to the ROOT which is one level up from the cars or forums folder. By doing that the admincp folder and includes folder of S-O-M will drop the contents of each folder in the admincp folder and includes folder within the forum folder. NOTE: this will only work if you are one listing higher in the directory tree.

The other two folders are uploaded in the products & plugins area of vB. Obviously not the Duetsch unless you need that laguage.

English version of XML file that you will most likely use.

I hope that explanation made it a little more clear. You could follow the long path by uploading the contents from the admincp folder into the admincp folder and so on, but that is an explanation for people that are not familiar with directory and directory structure. Use that routine if you do not understand the information I just provided.

I would not want a moderator having that kind of permission. Not everyone can you trust with that kind of authority.

Sounds like you made a wrong selection when you tried to make a change to a post or user.

Thanks, yeah I recently have 4 blocked spammers......

Installed it and it works great... kinda. I disabled the spam-o-matic easy clean up feature because it's server intensive and times out on my forum right now. However, I disabled the spam-o-matic easy clean up feature, but the option still shows up in my inline mod actions box

What does it do? Does it do anything even though the system is disabled?

I' getting a error message when I use the
Users > Search for users > List New Registrations > UserID > Quick User Links > Spam-O-Matic - Remove and ban user

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/admincp/glowhostspamomatic.php on line 108

Is this supposed to work like this?
How can I correct this error message?

Problem:
I always received the error message above when I used the Remove and Ban user.
Manage Products > Add/Import Product always failed when upgrading to the newer version.

Solution:
I checked for any "old" files left from Version 1 and deleted them.
I copied the existing Akismet API Key & StopForumSpam API Key to notepad
I uninstalled the mod from Plug-Ins and Products > Manage Products
I manually deleted each of the files from each of the folders on the server.
I manually uploaded the file ./includes/xml/product-glowhostspamomatic.xml
I manually uploaded each file into the appropriate server folder
I used AdminCP for Plug-in products > Manage products > Add/Import
I used the uploaded file path > ./includes/xml/product-glowhostspamomatic.xml

Conclusion:
This time (for the first time) the Spam-O-Matic imported correctly with no errors.
I pasted the API keys back into the Settings > Options > GlowHost - Spam-O-Matic
Modified any options in Options > GlowHost - Spam-O-Matic and saved with no issues.
GlowHost - Spam-O-Matic appears to be working correctly now with no errors or issues.

hello

This mod had been fantastic and worked perfectly for months now preventing tons of potential spammers. All of a sudden spammers are managing to register and I am getting the message below in the logs, any ideas please.

Unable to connect to StopForumSpam.com. This is probably due to some temporary problems on their website: Unable to check. User passed to vBulletin registration system per your settings at 'StopForumSpam:
