Nice work.
---
I have one question, why do you use "textarea" ?
Look at my attachment, we can enter any text in resize bar.

Seven Skins 01 Aug 2011 10:56

You cannot align a block element within another block element so textarea is used.

Textarea is not editable and you should not be able to edit it unless you have some javascript conflict or disable it using another script.

You can see it working here: http://www.atoztalk.com/threads/3032...s-In-The-World

Hi .. :)

I'm PayPal donator for this mod and we're currently using v1.3 of it with vBulletin 4.1.3 and it seems to work fine ...

Question: Should we upgrade to the latest release and will it operate fine with our version of vBullletin? What are the cosmetic changes a member will notice, if any?

Thanks for any feedback ... :)

Regards,
Doug

There is not much change in the design of the hack. When you upgrade to 4.1.4 or higher then you will have to update this hack.

The site includes mode "open in new window" => should be used phrase sevenskins_imageresizer_warning_filesize (and when it is on "open in same window" should be used that phrase).

haidm 03 Aug 2011 05:08

When I upgrade the new version, I don't see the maximum heigh option in ACP option, why do you remove this?

Seven Skins 03 Aug 2011 11:14

That was removed because it was causing issues with the warning bar size.

haidm 03 Aug 2011 15:20

So, does the heigh resized in the same time when the witdth is resized?

Seven Skins 03 Aug 2011 15:52

Image proportion are kept the same after resize.

Search for "sevenskins_imageresizer_" in the phrases and edit. There are 7 phrases you have to edit.

When you post the image first time this hack does not resize image you have to refresh the page to view resized image.

All your images has this style="max-width: 800px; max-height: 600px;" added to them with some other hack. Remove this and this image resizer should work after that.

edit "ss_imageresizer" template.

Find: background: #FFFACD url(images/misc/nCode.png) 6px 6px no-repeat;
And edit to the choice of your color.

morgano 07 Sep 2011 16:20

One thing I'd like to see is for this to be integrated with the lightbox.

Basically for the image to be resized as it is now, but having the image a click-able link (like an attachment) which opens the fullsize image using the current Vbulletin lightbox solution.

tpearl5 08 Sep 2011 21:16

Has anyone figured out how to only apply this to a specific section in the CMS? I realize it would involve putting an if condition in the hook for the CMS.

Kerdh 09 Sep 2011 20:58

Thanks for the mod!

But I have a noob question:

Quote:

If you want to use "Enlarge in the same window" option you must edit "Image Medium Max" stylevar for the style you are using. Set this stylevar to high number e.g. 2000px or more if needed.
Hum... how?

Thanks ^^

tstevens 07 Oct 2011 15:37

I'm getting the same problem with the scrollbar - this mod just doesn't seem to work at all for some reason. What am I doing wrong?

*issue resolved - just had to make sure I had the javascript in the right place*

We recently had an issue where the CKEditor was attaching images instead of using the IMG BB Code, but that's resolved. Now this resizer doesn't work. Help!

Seven Skins 07 Oct 2011 16:05

Please make sure the javascript has been uploaded to the correct location.

tstevens 07 Oct 2011 16:40

How odd - I thought it had been (was in the same place as the original version I had). I uploaded it to the root /clientscript directory and all is well. I should have caught that, but thanks for your time.

davut_c20 16 Oct 2011 01:54

elcoxx 16 Oct 2011 04:11

Thanks mate, works like a charm :D

shahryar_neo 19 Oct 2011 10:21

Thanks man ! works fine on 4.1.7 .

But all of these image resizer mods have a serious problem :

They don't limit the user to post an image with high sized image . they just resize the picture . I mean for example I send a post with an image with dimension of 2000*2000 and size of 5MB . they just resize its dimensions but users have to load 5MB for that picture .

If coders add a option for this , it would be great .

Scalemotorcars 19 Oct 2011 14:30

I have an external page I would like to add this to. Is there a way to run it using "THIS SCRIPT" or ???

I tried adding the variable to the global start hook in the mod where the other array of THIS SCRIPT's were placed without any change.

Sworm 04 Dec 2011 19:56

Hi Seven Skins, it look a great job with the yellow bar back....really.....

Should be problems if i try to translate the phrase "Click here to view the original image of xxxx X xxxx" ..... My forum is not english and a lot of user knowing only the italian language .... Thanks

Seven Skins 06 Dec 2011 08:27

You can translate phrases into Italian.

Mooff 14 Dec 2011 11:38

don't know whether it has been posted before, but there is a nice and easy way to include different resize sizes for cms and forums. :)

just check the ss_imageresizer template and extend the if vbmcs part (i won't post code, cause we are on 1.3 and haven't found time to upgrade yet - not sure if that template looks different now ;) ).

So as an improvement idea/ feature request: I think many sites do need different resize sizes for cms and boards, so adding another cms resize option in the next version would be nice. Until then (for site admins) change the template above and do it manually. :)

Great addon :)

Sworm 19 Dec 2011 20:46

Hi SevenSkins..... can i ask you if there's a way to remove this gap from the last phrase in the post and the yellow bar?
http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/8156/gapz.jpg

No Gap in the editor phase
http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/2452/gap1i.jpg

Seven Skins 20 Dec 2011 21:39

This hack only adds 12 px margin on top of image. According to your 1st screenshot gap is way too big and it must be coming from somewhere else.

Anyways you can edit "ss_imageresizer" template and edit the margin-top: 12px ...

Power_user_EX 20 Jan 2012 06:59

Need some help...
1st I'd like to say that this plugin is very useful and we have it installed on our forums at www.ocfreaks.com

We have also installed another plugin called vaultwiki (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=239377) alongside with your plugin. We just need your help to make it work with vaultwiki. Vaultwiki uses a custom template to show posts as articles and so other normal plugins like Image resize dont work.

AFAIK its because the custom template is not using the necessary hooks which invokes Image Resizer. I tried editing the vaultwiki template and adding the hooks manually and some other changes as well but i cannot get it work... hence i need you help... :)

Sunka 29 Jan 2012 06:02

Nice mod...
Have to uninstall some other Picture MOD and install this one because old mod is not longer supported.

I have 2 questions sir.

Is it possible to remove yellow bar across the top, so image will enlarge when user click on it?

With previous MOD, resized picture width in post give me chance to have 2 or even 3 picture in one row.
If my resolution is 1024px width, and if default maximum width of images is 400px, when I put BBcode for image one after another without enter, then pictures will be side by side, not one below another. And when click on picture, that enlarge picture (lytebox sistem)

[*img]image code[*/img] [*img]image code[*/img]

Not this one:

[*img]image code[*/img]
[*img]image code[*/img]

P.S. There is some error on vB.org, so I can not click on Installed, but when ths error gone, I will click on Installed!

Hippy 29 Jan 2012 12:50

search for textarea.ncode_imageresizer_warning in ss_imageresizer template and look for background: #FFFACD url(images/misc/nCode.png) 6px 6px no-repeat;
and change #fffacd to what ever color you like it to be

Sunka 30 Jan 2012 02:34

Thanks Hippy, but I do not want to change color of bar, I want to remove complete bar

Hippy 30 Jan 2012 02:41

then what are you going to click on to make the image larger ?? I will look into it for you tomorrow ..

Sunka 30 Jan 2012 05:06

On picture of course :)
Click on picture will elarge picture it self

Seven Skins 31 Jan 2012 17:14

@Sunka ... there be nothing to click to enlarge the image if you remove yellow bar.

You can add display: none to textarea.ncode_imageresizer_warning class.

Sunka 31 Jan 2012 18:31

Uh...
So that is the end of the road....

Thanks anyway

Sorry if i misunderstood this part but, is it in image_max_size you can change the size of the image in the posts?
Because right now its just way to small, some images could fit the post easily.
But are made thumbnail size.
