Hi guys and gals,

Well seeing as I have a phobia forum and this site is helping me setup my new vbulletin forum I thought I would see what fears you all have so what's your phobia?

Mine are spiders, needles and dentists!

Sea creatures.

I can't stand nearly any kind of insect. And to think they have more seniority in this world than any of us :p

heights and enclosed spaces are the first things that come to mind.

For someone that can't stand them I'm surprised you posted the pic!! I'm glad you never posted something like that on my forum

I think most animals have more seniority than us dont they Gio~Logist? lol!

Lynne I can sympathise with the fear of enclosed spaces because my girlfriend has this fear and we live in Moscow which is full of flats with lifts!!

Thanks for your responses everyone :)

John

Hah, perhaps so. But hey, when's the last time you saw a spider eating a human? :p

With my phobia of spiders I'm hoping I never do :p If I did though I'm sure it would get let free on good behaviour after a year lol!

Hi John

I don't mind pictures or even talking about them, the little one you get in your house are fine, but its those massive ones that make me panic, God, It must be the way they walk or all those legs, something definately spooky about spiders

Plus, in some parts of the world they eat them, OMG whatever next :eek:

For me it's definetly they way they scurry across the room - especially when they come out from under the sofa:eek:

UKBusinessLive 27 Nov 2008 19:38

In my house its definatly a mans job to kill the spiders, Its a war out there i'm tellin' ya :D

Yeah the sofa is a nightmare, Your watching the TV and all of a sudden from the corner of your eye you see this creature run accross the room, God to think they were inches from you is enough to send chills down your spine

Used to be spiders but I've managed to get over that. I no longer kill spiders I find in my home (unless they're known to be harmful to humans). I like to keep them around to keep the bug population under control.

I have a fear of snakes...bad fear of snakes. Growing up I was taught that they were not to be fooled with and watched my father shoot copperheads every summer at our pond. Like spiders I've managed to control that phobia to an extent..at least enough to take aim when needed. ;) Even though I hate snakes I always make sure that the black snakes around my home are well fed..they eat the rats which is a good thing. ^^ Right now I have a 5 - 6 foot long black snake living in my basement..somewhere. He got in a few months back and as far as I know he hasn't found his way back out.
