Hi there,

Please ensure you are using a FTP application to connect to your server, not cPanel's File Manager, and that you have dragged and dropped the contents of the upload folder, not the upload folder itself, to your site's folder.

It seems that once you select a mood image, you cannot revert back to nothing at all i.e. no image.

Is that by design or am I missing something?

I had to disable this mod for vb 4.2.5 / PhP 7.1.7 as whenever I tried to access admin would get this error

Error: Using $this when not in object context in ..../dbtech/status/hooks/init_startup.php on line 17

I did reinstall everything and reupload the product-dbtech_status.xml from the vb40 folder, still no good.

BTW, what is status-export.xml and where does that go?, if anywhere? I never uploaded that file which is in the XML folder but outside of the two vb30 / vb40 folders.

As far as I can see, this does not work with vb 4.2.5 / PhP 7.1.8

works for me with 4.2.5 and php 5.6.....

the status export is the actual moods themselves.....you need to import them with the xml from inside the product options to enable users to select them

I believe it has to do with the PhP version. This mod does not work with PhP 7 You really wouldn't want to run your vb 4.2.5 on anything lower than the latest PhP 7.1, otherwise you might as well just go back to vb 4.2.4

Across the board DragonByte Tech has some great mods for vb4 and vb5 but all of them are buggy, don't quite work and in need of complete upgrade.

I use several products from DBTech, and have had no issues with them on vB 4.2.5 and PHP 7.x.

Well as noted,
I had to disable this mod for vb 4.2.5 / PhP 7.1.7 as whenever I tried to access admin would get this error

Error: Using $this when not in object context in ..../dbtech/status/hooks/init_startup.php on line 17

I have many DBTech mods installed too, but this one has the above issue. All DBTech mods have issues though, not one of them works perfectly. If you think they all work perfectly, then you are simply accepting that they run without checking all post counts and verifying them, examining carefully the post counts after making PMs versus before PMs (which it should not be adding PMs to post counts), taking a look at unread PM count versus actual unread PM count, looking carefully at the vbshout and the way its options affect results before and after, etc. I'm not getting into the specific issues on which mod rather mentioning some of them, but they are there. For example, create a brand new vb5 forum and install all the DBTech mods on it and take a look at what its InfoPanels mod tells you are the post counts, unread PMs, etc. and you will see how off it is. Or make a vbshout and notice that your post count goes up, which a vbshout is not a post.

The vb5 DBTech mods especially are in need of update.

i wouldnt hold your breath on the vb5 ones.....pretty sure they have even said they arent supporting them till the software is more stable...which, imho, vb5 still isnt even close...

as to the php error tho.....i did do some testing with 4.2.5 and php7.....also uncovered a dbtech error perhaps this exact one you mention, but resulted from another product...

so i think its just not all the products fully php7 yet.......i would recommend trying posting on their forum for faster/better support....the one i reported was fixed pretty quickly over there...

I understand that vb5 is moving ahead so quickly that the coders can't keep up with it, but I have a vb5 mod and mine is updated to work with vb5 well, so it is possible.

Sometimes we load mods and note no issues and assume that the mod is working perfectly doing what it should, and this is not always the case. I test everything, and take nothing for granted.

I got this error too. Needed to regain access via PHP hook disable.
